  • Alternatively, if you like it to be set to your subscriptions and sorted by 'Hot' just set those settings up and then create a bookmark and it will always take you back to the page with current content and your selected settings.

  • Why I haven't delved back into any persistent self-hosting yet.

  • False Dichotomy: The message presents only two options: either adopt someone or support the hypothetical alternative, which is framed quite negatively as 'murdering the children'. This is a false dichotomy because there are many other potential courses of action and viewpoints someone could have on the topic in question.

Ad Hominem: The phrase "would you just prefer murdering the children instead?" is an ad hominem attack, targeting the person instead of addressing the argument or issue at hand. Ad hominem attacks are often used as a distraction technique and they are logically fallacious because they don't actually engage with the argument itself.

Red Herring: The reference to being unable to afford a house is a red herring – it's a point that may seem related, but it's actually not relevant to the question of adoption. One's ability to afford a house has no inherent connection to one's ability or willingness to adopt a child.

  • If they don't already. Probably more of to what degree at this point.

  • Short and simple, don't rekindle a friendship where you feel like you were slighted somehow before losing touch. The resentment will be out of control.

  • Inverting the adverse condition from having no control over when it activates to include conditions about it only activating in a specific place seems to solve a lot of the malicious compliance type side effects. Given that it seems to be a malicious compliance type scenario, it can't be ruled out that that the final ace-up-the-sleeve would be that it never activates.

With those axioms, I'd probably go with something like: "activate 'creative mode' while sitting at my computer in my place of residence"

That way whether or not it actually engages, it's in a favorable location where my body is occupied and generally no harm comes to it beyond sitting in one place too long. If it never activates, who cares? If it does, yay! :3

  • Don't forget the VERY innovative and generous 500 character limit they're enforcing. Wow. So much characters.

  • Yes. I would like this info as well if anyone has it .

  • Lol, I tested this out live. Most people still like to 'disagree button and run.' I think it comes from the 'debate me bro' atmosphere that seemed prevalent on Reddit. A lot of folks would rather just show they disagree than expose their logic on why. This trend can then be manipulated by bots to strengthen the 'unspoken disagreement' with opinions that don't jive with whatever agenda they've been created to support. And rather than talking out disagreements a lot of them devolved into 'then just leave.' Or even more venomously as 'this community will be better when you're gone.' .
