  • Yes, me justifying not registering my car on time is toooootally on par with...

    Checks notes

    Bombing a hospital.

    đŸ€Ą

  • You don't know that. You don't know if the guy in the parking lot is a civilian or not. Also, there are many, many, other screams of people crying out in anguish. Generally, when I'm trying to not be a fucking monster, I don't launch missiles or other weapons of war in crowded parking lots. But hey, that's me and I actually have a functional fucking conscience.

  • LMAO Well that's one way to re-write history.

  • The state paid for mine, which was nice. Unfortunately mine went wrong in the worst ways. The antibiotics weren't working, went back after a few days. My sack was the size of a softball. 2 different antibiotics later and finally the swelling started to go down. It was excruciating.

All that said, Mine went as badly as one could possibly go, yet you still couldn't pay me to have not done it. Best decision ever. All this to say, 99.9% of people will have some sore balls for a few days and that's the end of it. And still the 0.01% of people who do have complications are telling you that it's totally worth. If you're on the fence, that should tell you something.

  • Atheists are far less likely to be committing genocide. Atheist tend to value skepticism and science highly as well as logic and reason. Combining these generally leads to people who are humanists at their core.

I'm not aware of a single war that was ever carried out under the banner of atheism.

  • "Hello 911? I've just witnessed a murder."

  • Plex is far better than jellyfin at the moment. Hopefully that will change at some point.

  • Sorry, I was reading an article today and it popped into my head that I had never responded to you. This article specifically referenced it which is why it popped into my head:

    https://news.yahoo.com/us-asks-israel-explanation-strike-192900314.html?guccounter=1

Before Israel’s ground operation into Gaza, the Biden administration had been urging Israel to conduct a “more surgical” operation instead of a full-scale invasion due to the high potential for both civilian and IDF casualties, said the first U.S. official.

This is very paraphrased in the article, but the gist of it is correct.

There are articles on the China part of it but they got buried quickly. Basically The Biden admin was asking china to talk to Iran to try to get them to chill a bit so that things don't end up going completely off the rails. Keep in mind that Hezbollah is basically state sponsored by Iran, so this isn't just Iran the country being asked to chill out, but Hezbollah as well. And it worked as far as I can tell, because Hezbollah put out a statement the other day being inflammatory pricks like they are but also showed some restraint (of which the article took note), which is notable.

Edit: Here is the article I was talking about: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/israel-hezbollah-gaza-hamas-lebanon-b2441350.html

Read that and then ask yourself... Does this sound like the Hezbollah I know about? Because the Hezbollah I know of would be ass deep in Jihad right now.

  • I just don't understand it. How is Israel getting away with bombing refugee camps? Like seriously? How does that not earn an immediate smackdown from every world power? I mean, I already know the answer, but it's still mind boggling to me nonetheless.

  • Oooooo Boy, I was about to ream you out sideways. Good call with the /s xD

  • Sure it isn't. * Wink wink nudge nudge*

It'll be back. With a different name and modified messaging.

  • Windows 12 is not going subscription. This was a bad take by a worse source (who apologized).

    Stop spreading this shit!

  • I have literally never had any of these issues with Firefox on Android

  • Instead of engaging like an adult (and admitting that you were incorrect), you decided to behave like a child.

  • The author completely misses the fact that Biden went to Israel to advocate for limited (or no) ground incursion at all. Literally no one wants this. He's even asking china to talk to Iran, because he knows that china really doesn't want this.

TL;DR Author of this opinion piece only reads headlines and not actual news of what is going on.
