  • Oh, is that where the name Brave came from?

  • Theft Detection Lock uses AI, your device’s motion sensors, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth to detect if someone unexpectedly takes your device and runs away. If Theft Detection Lock detects your device is taken from you, it automatically locks your device's screen to protect its content. For example, if someone grabs the phone out of your hand and they run, bike, or drive away, the Theft Detection Lock may activate.

I presume it waits for an abrupt spike in the accelerometer followed by going out of range of nearby Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth connections. I am curious how well it works, and how often false positives occur.

I am also disappointed that it seems GrapheneOS does not offer a similar feature.

  • I'm gonna steal fork it.

  • in qBittorrent: Tools > Options > Advanced > Network Interface. That dropdown box should list things like your Wi-Fi connection, Ethernet connection, etc., including an option that sounds like your VPN provider. If you run into troubles, do an Internet search for "qbittorrent network interface" for various articles and guides.

  • Going Mobile from 2005? That was surprisingly fun. Apparently you can still find it as a JAR file and play it using a Java emulator.

EDIT: Anyone know what the best way to play a JAR on Steam Deck would be? I tried using J2ME Loader on my phone, and while it runs fine, the touchscreen controls are just not great.

  • I have enjoyed the several Ratchet & Clank games that I have played. I had tried the first two Jak games using OpenGOAL, and they just didn't grab me like every Ratchet & Clank did.

I know that this thread is about PS2 emulation, but do you know if the HD collection for PS3 is a better way to emulate the original Ratchet & Clank titles nowadays?

  • They did announce three major products today.

"Let him hold a miniature golf scoring pencil to make them look normal, obviously."

  • I have found that I always use proper punctuation in informal communication except for a period at the end of a message. If the last sentence is a question or exclamation, I'll use a question mark or exclamation point. But if it technically requires a period: usually nothing.

Then again, I am in my forties or fifties

  • Its only a matter of time

  • Most kitchen "gadgets" that are effectively an alternative to the classic combination of a knife and cutting board (such as this one) are typically assistive devices for those unable to safely/effectively operate a knife. Even though a dull table knife would generally be more than sufficient to cut a banana, not everybody can so much as properly grip one.

  • Completely aside from the blob issue mentioned, the Tails team has recommended against using a multiboot utility like Ventoy to install Tails. Ventoy works fine for basically any other operating system (again, aside from the blob issue), just not Tails, which is what this post is about.
