  • Agreed but i feel at least in scrum theory it is encouraged to have a T of skills with deep knowledge about your speciality and shallow but for basic stuff sufficient knowledge in the rest of skills in the stack. So i think it is known that full stack doesn't mean master of everything. But yeah it's impossible to master everything. My skill gets smaller the further i stay from the frontend. Like I can get backend tasks done but tell me to write a plsql package and I'm gonna have to learn a lot of new shit

  • I feel they might've left something out. If you're at base value still an additive 100% increase (1+1=2) is better than a multiplicative 25% (1×1.25=1.25) increase but in games where bonuses stack another additive 100% increase would raise the effective value by 50% instead (1+1+1=3) whereas another multiplicative 25% would still raise the total by that much (1×1.25×1.25=1.56) so if you're stacking a lot of bonuses, eventually the multplicative ones are more effective. As for how many steps it would take to be equal in our example... 1+1×X=1×1.25^X I'm not gonna do this in my bed on my phone but that equation should already tell you that the right side grows faster when X -> infinity

  • My aim for CIV is minimal military to survive a first push but enough money to just buy military units to then push back, take all their cities and be labelled warmonger. Suddenly everyone wants a piece of this ass so i spend the rest of the game fighting... I see I have a problem in this pipeline

  • I feel like you as someone with pronouns in his bio should probably know that there are issues that the 2 available options differ in. So don't try to wash the blood of trans people, women and other minorities in the US off your hands. You're going to have to live with that because it ain't coming off

  • first they came for palestinians, but you symbolically put a cross on a ballot that didn't help them either but fucked over a whole lot of other people as well. good job. hope you're proud advocating for genocide. I'm just blocking your whole instance. it's just so hopeless to argue with a bunch of people that don't care for women, queer people, any minority except for the currently popular minority to defend. y'all didn't have an option for helping gaza on the ballot but still just threw your vote away. stick it to them murica fuck yeah.. fuck you

  • What a load of condescending shit. You're giving kids not enough credit. Just because folders haven't been relevant to them some kids don't know about them, big deal. If they became in some way relevant they could learn about them. If you asked a millennial that never really used a computer they'd probably also not know. I'm fairly sure that people with disabilities know how to use accessibility tools like screen readers.

  • That last paragraph is exactly what i feel. In Windows it started to feel more and more like I'm fighting against Microsoft and have to be on edge all the time whereas if in Linux something doesn't work it's not because of ill intentions of the people behind the OS.
