The aggressive sales tactics of the charity representatives at those little pop-ups at the supermarket and plazas are a bit shady as well, IMO. I usually manage to avoid them but the few times I have been stopped, it's never a pleasant/easy experience to get away. They are trained to sell this way, and I understand they need the donations, but it never leaves me with a feeling of respect for the charity they represent.
I cant afford to make monthly donations but sometimes I would like the option to drop a cash donation in a tin, or to make a one-off merch purchase. Unfortunately neither of these things are ever an option these days, so instead we get the hard sell and are left with a bad taste in the mouth.

When I first opened the canvas I don't believe your Australian flag was there. I went on to make a Fortnite F, then expanded to the whole logo, and finally a lovely heart. Yes, I know that's all very cringe but I don't care. When I woke the next day I was surprised to discover that my art had still not been attacked, so I began a Project Zomboid Logo. Eventually I noticed the formation of your flag but I already had received a notice that the canvas would be closing in 24 hours.
I'm sorry, I think your flag was ambitious, but I don't see it getting completed. I really wanted us to have some representation, and I'm also jealous of New Zealand as their flag is schmick. My son and I decided to create some token Australian Flags near my other artwork (as it started to get attacked and I needed to keep an eye on it.) If you want to help with protection, or even expansion, you can find those (significantly smaller) flags at 115, 466 on the canvas. Yes. I got a package from Amazon US a week or so after this post and it had that written on it. I pulled it apart to investigate but the padding was not plastic bubbles like the ones in my OP photo. So it must be some sort of corn stuff that can be recycled, but unfortunately I've never had Australian Amazon packages in that recyclable padded packaging. We have a stiff cardboard bag that can be recycled but it's only single layer. My groceries did not even require padded packaging though!

We have this law in Australia and it never made sense to me. Noone is forcing these mega news corps (and Murdoch was a heavy pusher on these laws) to join Facebook and post their news there. Facebook et al drive traffic to the news sites, that otherwise would not have gone there. I think something could be said for preventing amp links, or some other option that ensures the viewer is directed to the true source for a story.
But this money doesn't get divided up with smaller news creators either, so the MSM get even more money thrown their way, while smaller, better quality, media continues to struggle with YT demonitisation for covering topics MSM wont, and trying to finance their outlet thru Pateron. It's a rort, not a true solution.
Heh. Well that's interesting. I'm using an old mobile for my VOIP. Happens to be KitKat OS. Was able to extend it's life with a replacement battery off ebay, but VOIP softwares were starting to all update beyond the limits of my device anyway.
