  • I feel like the only way it would work is if they got to keep the money of whoever they killed as long as that person had over a billion dollars... and I would almost be OK with that.

I like to imagine it would reduce the collateral damage the rest of society faces when these people have a dick waving contest.

Roided out billionaires with their hearts exploding out their chests from experimental steroids would really mix things up in a good way. He'll maybe we'd get some truly sick cybernetic out of it too.

  • I think the fundamental problem with the AR glasses is something that can't be overcome.

I think its easy to see the utility to owning a pair of glasses that look good and provide real time information as desired for what you are looking at or hearing.

HOWEVER, I think very few people will want the product these co.panies will make. This will be a method to throw ads literally in front of your eyeballs. Enshitification is too big of a thing now and so any new product is tainted by the expectation it will rapidly turn to garbage at a high price to you.

Also, while we may think we can be trusted, we dont trust anyone else having all that info, I dont like the obvious privacy implications that these can present. Filming with them is also terrifying.

  • It plays well on the steam deck day 1 as well, if that matters to anyone here. I played the first 2 hours on my deck from work with no issues.

Shaders took like 10 minutes but the rest of the load times were all fine.

  • He's both a subordinate of the Anti-Christ and Russian asset. He was called upon to kill the pope to initiate the Pope election process that they can manipulate in order to get a more "pro-apocalypse" Pope in place.

  • I have it make me excel formulas that I know are possible, but I can't remember the names or makeup for. Afterwords I always ask "what's a better way to display this data?" And I sometimes get a good response. Because of data security reasons I dont give it any real data but we have an internal one I can use for such things and I sometimes throw spreadsheets in for random queries that I can make in plain language.

  • I wonder what food a tesla themed restaurant would serve. If he were a clever man it would be a sit down restaurant with a focus on meals that are approximately 20 minutes to consume, and clean bathrooms and 20 chargers in the parking lot. Focusing of making a rest stop for electric charging on trips would be... fine.

  • It was significantly harder to set up remote access for Jellyfin than Plex 6 months ago. I ha ent attempted since. With Plex there was literally no set up, it just works. Until it just works without having to do any extra work, Jellyfin will struggle with adoption.

I have both running, and thatd a big difference to me. Also I prefer the way Plex detects intros and credits for skipping and their detection for captions. Once that's all sorted Jellyfin wins in every field.

  • With the caviat that you have tailscale enabled on both devices. This prevents it from being used on a roku outside your home but you could access it remotely from your computer/phone/tablet.

It is significantly harder than Plex, currently. There are improvements happening all the time though.

  • Sadly, bad behavior from owners are the cause. I have several fruit trees in my backyard and the pest presence is high. If they aren't harvested and maintained the impact on your neighbors is high. I hate HOAs, but I get why they would prohibit it, and it's not a class thing, after all...you're a property owner.

  • We do. Obviously not everyone can But I wager the number of Americans growing something edible on their space is decent. Usually it's easy stuff to grow, or someone's favorites.

Thinking about it and counting in my head I actually know dozens of people that grow tomatoes personally. They grow easily in large quantities in relatively small space and all taste better than store bought.

Citrus has been pretty plentiful my entire life too. Lemon trees especially.
