  • Loss of personal income and denial or service come to mind with like 5 seconds of thought.

Any non-salary employee who's late to work probably doesn't just get to make it up later. The business that employs then may lose business as a result of the shortage/delay. Their products being shipped to them could be delayed resulting in loss of sales. The ripple goes on and on but most pockets getting hit are commuting workers, more than big businesses.

As for if it's worse than what others in Gaza are experiencing? A pointless exercise. As my parents told us growing up "there are children starving in Africa", yet it doesn't make me like the taste of steamed green beans any more or less. Their suffering doesn't impact my suffering, no matter how extreme the difference.

  • Do they? Like I said, I haven't seen anyone change their minds because of the road blocking protests. I have seen people change their minds because of reporting.

Closest I've seen to people change stances is literally supporters of Palestine go "fuck these kids are annoying." But are still anti-genocide.

  • They can, or they can erode it. I've never met a person won over by road blockade. It more like a call to rally people who already agree. If the classes you are going into debt paying for keep getting canceled or your graduation gets delayed because of protests, it's not gonna endear you to protesters. You may agree with the message, but if you didn't it would only further entrench you on the other end.

  • I enjoy it when it's available, as a treat. It would never be a daily brew though. I also really enjoy a nice New Mexican Piñon coffee which highlights chocolate notes in the coffee. I am ready for a break from it each time I finish a bag though.

  • Unflavourful?

There are so many things you can complain about and you pick the one things so false an entirely new genre of soft drinks had to be created to tone shit down. Eg; flavored seltzers

You may actually have a medical issue affecting your taste buds, or you've never drank a real soda.

  • Huh I thought it was bring zero luggage. Like you walk on the plane and everything you have is in your pockets. Buy whatever you need while there and donate or trash whatever you are done with after replacements.

  • Yeah, the way they've described it on podcasts is that the comedian can pay to make the whole thing themselves and then just sell it like a finished product to a streaming service. For an established comedian like this, that's almost certainly what happened.

He owns his own comedy club, so I'm sure it's very inexpensive for him to film a special. I didn't watch it though so I don't know if it's at his own club though.

  • It was so wild! Mine looked like a stone with an emerald hue. I was not expecting the green at all. It was a time when I went to burger King more frequently to meet a friend who was sick so I tried it with no advanced notice of the repricusions.

  • A high key snack to me would involve 2 separate prep phases.

For instance making crackers involves making the dough then baking which makes it more of a task than cooking a bag of chicken nuggets, which is more of a wait than celery dipped in peanut butter.

I consider these the three teirs of snack making. Anything more and you have entered meal territory.

  • Inflation just hit the poor CEOs extra hard. 20% feels bad for us, imagine how much it impacts your bottom line when you have to give your private chef and your driver 3% raises every 5 years. Where will they find the money? /s

  • Sure, if that's how a really popular subreddit pays it's moderators, it's not unreasonable. We just know that isn't what's going on here.

In addition, it would be unreasonable to expect users of a free service to suddenly start paying for it without an extremely huge value boost which there's been no mention of. If anything engagement will certainly go down, further reducing the value.

  • Just saying you have a process for dealing with the problem is not as good as solving the problem.

Is there some other problem being solved by the shelf? Like do they have really terrible water pressure and need to rely on gravity and a slope?
