  • I had a similar issue in my home where I ran a nighthawk router at the back of my house connected to the ATT router/modem at the front of the house. I let them run as separate networks for a long time, and that prevented anything not connected to the same router as the jellyfin server from seeing it.

I recently got my act together and switched the router to "access point mode" and the house is all 1 network now. The jellyfin server is available on everything in the house as well. After the change, I felt silly I had it the other way for years because it sure helps many of the other wifi objects in my home as well.

  • Using people like that makes sense for evil. Pardoning them is the part I don't get. Like you didn't need to sweeten the pot for men like this. Just being allowed out of prison to hurt people is enough of a reward.

  • Making efuel is not net zero. You just keep saying it is. Your failure to assess your opponents stems from them, by default, not believing your premise.

It's also currently estimated at $40 per gallon. Kinda doesn't matter if it actually was "net zero" it the cost to drive 100 miles is dozens of times more expensive than doing so with every other method.

  • You should not stop there. Manufacturing the battery would have to emit more carbon than making the engine AND running gasoline through it for the life of the car. The cars doent exist as show room pieces, they work.

It's unfair to say they moved the goalposts when you aren't even really responding to the statement that's being made.

  • I wouldn't say I'm hate watching it, but I have lots of free time in the middle of the night with an infant right now, so I watch anything even remotely interesting. This season looks like it might answer several questions for the series, but I also kinda worry about how they are going to retain the facade of scientific explanation with their magic feeling doo-dad in play.

  • You had the time to watch more than you did. You just wrote this novel of a post. You might make bad decisions with how you choose to use your time.

Your method for trying out a show is also unhinged. Like who literally spoils a show for themselves as a test to see if they like it? It's unreal.

  • I'm exactly the same. I also used to use a generic "have a good one" because I didn't know what time it was during my evening shift. I did have a person make a minor scene once, saying he hated when people said that because he didn't know what "one" was in reference to, though.

  • This is my stance as well. You don't lose your job, but why would I promote an employee who disregards policy. You're not being asked to round up Jews. This isn't some evil, "just following orders" moment.

Keep your job, but don't expect to advance in a company who's requests you decline. It's far too entitled to think a person deserve a raise for telling your boss no.

  • Certainly, presidents have some responsibility for things that the military does during their tenure, but people talk about these events, like he was told they were striking a DWB facility. I suspect he was told told they had located their target, and he approved without knowledge of the location and potential blowback.

His Whitehouse always struck me as more savvy than that, which led me to believe some of these were the result of omissions during communication from overseas.

That said, I totally believe they would bomb a wedding if they felt a high enough priority target was there (even if they were wrong). I felt the military was given ALOT of freedom to make decisions on their own while Obama was in office.

  • It was the most obviously "Fuck this guy." made up scandal.

I feel like it wasn't even perceived as political but just rude. If not for all the surrounding events and years since, I would have believed it was just someone trying to make conservatives look petty. Now I know they actually are.

  • I think that them announcing mod support for next year actually caused people to abandon it quicker. I mean, they had to talk about mods because it was so expected, but I wish they had support ready to go with the October patch. Give everyone a month to play the story without the temptation to completely overhaul with silly mods, then announce support in time for holiday sales.

I really enjoyed the gamed but I am also waiting to revisit it after mod support is officially added.

  • I updated my rig 4 years ago, and not to the top of the line. Starfield ran beautifully for me on release. I don't really understand all the people acting like it required cutting edge builds to operate.

I felt the response was valid. How often do consoles get upgrades? PCs require them less frequently, but if you are using a 10 year old rig, it's like trying to play PS5 games on a PS3.

Too many treated it like their statement had "get good" energy. =/

  • Melee combat appeals to a broader base with fewer quality options. If you feel like playing a shooter with a decent story, there is more competition to Fallout 4. Fallout 76 comes to mind.

That sounded sassier than I meant. But that gameplay style will split users into a wider number of titles, was my point.
