@jjjalljs Ok, defiantly sounds like I have a addiction to gaming. I seem to put gaming before my partner (as well as previous partners, when I was with them). Annoyingly my goal is to replace some of my gaming time with other tasks such as Video Editing what I'd like to create my own business about but I keep on making walls to why I should not do it such as the easy my bank has still not sorted my online banking for my business so I can't edit for people, there's no point in even editing for myself or even booting the software.
I saw a suggestion from someone else to possibly Gamify my life what sounds like a good thing to do. It's nice to know some people can just do it, thank you.
@bonuscrab I have Autism but I suspect that I most likely have ADHD as well, I've thought about this before and it really interested me do you have any recommended apps to manage gamifying my life?
@NightOwl I seem to go through a similar cycle, that or I end up merging my gaming with also watching the shows / movies I want to watch. I'm more trying to make time for things such as Video Editing as well as other 'hobbie' based things that are more likely to earn money.
@FoundTheVegan I don't actually play any MMOs, never have really grabbed my attention but still doesn't stop me from endlessly playing games due to them being Round-Based or never-ending games like Minecraft. Thanks for the advice though.
@Scrof Oh don't worry already went through a lot of Depression, it seems to be one of the reasons I play Video Games. To 'escape' from the real world it's just getting in the way of some of the things that might make me happy such as Video Editing.
@Monster96 I have both Autism and Fibromyalgia so I have been registered as never being able to work. My goal is not to go full no Video Games what is the hard part, The Games I play just get in the way of the the possible carer I feel I can create for myself (Video Editing if your wondering) but they also regulate my stress and i've tried going full cold turkey with them before and my life got to one of the lowest points due to no stress regulation. Thanks for the comment though.
@hogart Thank you, Even know I don't have issues with weight (at least not over weight) this is really helpful. I know I can't go full cold turkey over the games otherwise I fall back into them hard and it's good to see other people say to slowly get myself off them. Luckily I never have got into the MMO side of things as I'm sure I wouldn't even be messaging to people online at the point, I mainly play round-based games such as CounterStrike, limiting my play and replacing it with something else slowly is probably the way to go. Thank you.
@andyMFK That would be nice, I seem to move towards games that have repeatable play like Minecraft, CS2 and ETS2. I always seem to struggle with keeping a good work, game and life balance.
@toothpicks TBH I really don't mind as long as it's not these stupid non-prank videos lol.
I've edited Vlogs, Gaming Videos, Podcasts as well as just general talking videos in the past as long as it's not calling for hatred on someone or is some strange pet harming video then I wouldn't mind editing the video tbh.
@spaduf That's really nice, I actually use Obsidian myself for note taking and I can say that I will never go back to normal note taking software. The internet and software needs to change to be for the user, for if the software doesn't exist in the future. We never know if a service will go but we shouldn't loose everything.
@toothpicks There's a demand but most people want things for free sadly so there's not much I can do. Just hope I can get somewhere soon as it's needed.
As long as you are enjoying the book or at least yourself
@GreyTechnician So there are many things that can get your website visited, One of them being, is the site readable as well as easy to understand there's no point of trying to get people to view your site if they come to pink text on a bright green background.
Other parts include trying to get your links on as many sites as possible, this grounds your website on the web a lot more and can be done via socials for the site or your own personal one just sending a 'hey a new blog post is out, it's about X' to your normal socials.
The site also needs to bring value to people, why should they come to your site other any other, if it's a blog what can't they get from a news source or another person's blog?
Load times, load times are key when it comes to after the click, if the site takes over 2 seconds to load most people will just not bother so make sure you have it optimised.
Use Images, Videos or anything that could further the experience of doing the blog, not everyone wants to just read a wall of text and making colours and things be apart of the blog can bring character as well as help with people understand what you are saying.
Make sure your site can be found from search terms on not only Google but Bing and other search engines.
@Weirdbeardgame That hated should not be exiting if the grounds are because of someone's Disability, Sex, Sexuality, Gender Identity, Religion or Skin. It should only exist for how nice the person is.
@toothpicks Oh nice, I just finished writing a huge post about my issues with playing to much games and that I want to break free from it to focus on Video Editing so doing alright.
Does your book go in depth about the different types of guitars like Electric ones? As well as why they sound different than eachother?
@Breezy Yes sadly most doctors haven't heard of it and if they have some don't think it's actually a thing. I'm very lucky in having my mum that also has the same condition so it's nice to know i'm not the only one going through things.
Also no one knows if it is genetic there has been very little research about it let alone in that area. Glad you came to comment hope your mother has learnt to deal with the pains, fog and tiredness.
@solrize Maybe it's time for some us to create Text-Only Communities to chat in as i'm sure that would be amazing to see. It's that or I'm sure there's already some community already made to be a "Just Chatting" one or something.
@yotezip I feel it is probably that as well, people want to be entertained most of the time and reading things aren't always what people are looking for even on places like Lemmy and Kbin.
