  • Well, meowmeowbeanz has a good point, namely, Anonymous saying anything is meaningless. Because Anonymous is a not a group, at best it could be called a movement, at worst it's just a name. In any case, anybody can claim to speak for them. Hence their statements are meaningless.

However, meowmeowbeanz's post is also a barely coherent rant with overused emphasis. Which makes them seem mentally unwell. It's like encountering somebody with a tinfoil hat ranting about how the earth is round.

  • Apparently, it takes only 10 hours to beat Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup. . Which seems oddly low, considering just how difficult this game is, and that you have to start over if you die, since it's a roguelike. Though, maybe I just suck. Though, maybe it's for one successful playthrough, which isn't that much of a useful metric when discussing roguelikes.

  • My theory on how Deepseek managed to beat out ChatGPT: All LLMs do is that they try to guess what the next token is, based on statistics. Making the statistics more precise requires exponentially more training data and weights. You can see that if you compare model sizes, they tend to double for the next level of model.

So, as a consequence, you can build a model half as big, and only sacrifice a fraction of the performance.

  • Yeah. Germany for example. If it weren't for the mercy of the victors, and the massive development aid Germany received under the Marshal plan, then Germany would be much poorer today. You just need to compare the territory for the former DDR to the rest of Germany to get an idea.

  • This is how Crassus got rich. When a house burned, he'd show up with his firefighters, and then buy the house for an insultingly low price, because, well, the house was on fire. Then his firefighters would put the fire out.

  • He bought Twitter because he wanted to pump the stock up, presumably so that he could dump his stock. The timeline is that Elon talked about taking Twitter private, paying 420$ per share, because 420 is the funny marijuana number. Twitter's board then agreed to the buyout, since Elon's offer was far more than what the company was actually worth. Elon tried to weasel out of the deal, but Twitter successfully sued him to force him into buying Twitter.

  • In addition to what frazorth said, you can change how a statement is interpreted by simply using a passive voice. Compare "Alice was hit by Bob" to "Bob hit Alice". Both statements are identical, but the former is a lot less accusatory towards Bob. This technique is used when reporting about Police abuse, or about how the civilians in Gaza are treated.

  • You can't just throw out random Wikipedia links. For example, the Article on AGI explicitly says we don't have a definition of what human level cognition actually is. Which is what the person you were replying to was saying. You're doing a fallacious appeal to authority, except that the authority doesn't agree with you.

  • Trauma team charges 100 Eddies per minute from when you call them until they deliver you to the hospital, plus spend ammunition and medical supplies. They waive the charge if they need 7 minutes or more to get to you, though. (Not relevant in gameplay, as their response time is 1d6 minutes). And they have heavy weapons to fight their way through to you. So, their services are sort of reasonably priced for what they offer. And even if you don't earn the big bucks, if you live in a Arasaka living facility and eat kibble, you should have enough saved up to pay for their services if you end up needing them. (Of course, living in an Arasaka living facility may lead to you needing their services)

Point being, "Cyberpunk 2020"'s healthcare system is better than America's.
