  • That would be nice. It would be nicer if people didn't have to sell their belongings to pay for healthcare in the US. Hopefully we can get there someday.

  • That will take a ⅔ vote and that's not likely. Otherwise the people of Oklahoma can do it in 2027.

  • Yeah. I can't quite figure this one out. Unless the thieves are connected somehow I don't know how they're going to move this thing. What are they going to do? Go to the Waldorf, walk up to random yuppies, and ask, "my man yous interested in procuring some fancy ass art?"

  • What frustrates me is everyone knows our system is utterly broken but whenever we get closer to doing anything about healthcare the Republican noise machine shifts into high gear and people follow along like lemmings. I can't even tell you how many times I tried to explain to people that there was no such thing as a death panel when the Obamacare legislation was going through congress.

  • In the last congressional election voter turnout was 46%. The last time a midterm was higher than 50% was in the 1910s.

  • This is fantastic news for Ukraine and really bad news for Russia.

  • Teacher should have been available.

  • Well if calling them out doesn't work maybe we should vote them out!

  • So I'm not saying one is better then the other because I don't think I'm informed enough to make that call. I'm just curious about what your opinion is. I honestly just want to see progress made in energy generally.

  • I know nothing about the Canadian system but for the American system we really need to, at the very least, work on bringing the cost of college down and limiting interest rates. 12% is crazy! The us national mortgage rate for a 30 year loan was 10% that year so who knows maybe it was the going rate in Canada. Ugh. Education should not be financially crushing.

  • I agree that I hope they've thought this through and we're all not reading an article five years from now about how the DOE wasted a bunch of time and resources doing "secret shopping" and it didn't result in anything.

  • While I don't disagree with you I think less systemic improvements could be made now. The kind of change you're describing is incredibly important and long overdue, I just think that's less likely given today's political climate.

  • So you'd argue that fission is a better way to go rather than fusion? I see China has built, but hasn't activated, a molten salt reactor. Why aren't they more popular?

  • I've seen her videos before and they're fantastic. I hadn't seen this one yet obviously. What I took away from this is for right now CO2 is the immediate threat but waste heat will be a problem at some point. If a doctor had a patient with cancer and a bullet wound. He or she will treat the bullet wound before ordering a round of chemo. If I can get all star treky, it sounds like some kind of perfect Maxwell's demon might be the holy Grail in converting waste heat into free energy. Regardless though the immediate concern should be reducing CO2.

  • That's a great video. Thanks
