  • Holy moly thats just pure insane skill.

    Edit:

was in football team when younger. Never was able to pull of tricks but tried and trained to do them. I dont know if i was just too bad with my feet or if my training was not hard enough. But for sure tell that getting all of those stunts to work and on top of that getting 'em to work in a row... jeesus. Respect.

  • Hm, well then maybe an alternative to usenet maybe try the OCH-Variant. Many sites out there for the german dubbed content. An old but good site to get to some good warez sites fast is startseite.to But some old links still exist and might not be the best route to go, so still be cautios matey.

  • For a complete series its difficult. I guess you could copy all the links of each episode, put it in a .csv file, and let GPT write a script that opens up a Terminal/CMS/Powershell that calls yt-dlp with the parameter being the link of each episode.

Naming to be S01/E01 could get difficult but you could make another row in the .csv file and let GPT edit the script, so that after the download is complete the file gets renamed to the corresponding row.

Oooor you go the easiest way and sail the high seas, go to serienjunkies.org or other sites like this one, and go with one of the one-click-hosters, pay them and be good for a year or whatever time range you would choose.

  • I think he has a typo, yes. The correct link:

    mediathekviewweb.de

Edit: if you have a link of the video on the arte website, you might wanna try to copy the link and put it into yt-dlp. It is capable of downloading from youtube with sponsorblock information but also capable of downloading videos from other sites. For example the ARD Mediathek or Arte.

  • Are you downloading or creating the remux?

    If you are downloading:

If you are only playing the movie on the laptop on a 15" screen, resolution above 1080p doesnt matter all that much for movies. If you are watching it on a large 4k tv - something like over 50" you have to consider the additional storage space, thats needed with the higher quality variant.

I am personally not so much considered with high resolution unless I watch a movie again and again and again. If you probably only watch it once, try out the 1080p version and find out if the quality is high enough for ya or if it is disturbing you.

  • For real now?

I dont want to have to search all the communities that I subscribed to again.

Does anybody know if there is an easy way to bring your subscribtions with you when opening an account on a new instance?

  • Well thats weird. Maybe try the nightly build, they have additional features and patches. Maybe its a weird bug that got patched with this version or it is a random problem that occurred whilst the installation.

  • Well thats because as soon as you search you are actually using a website. If the website doesnt support darkmode or was someday configured to be whitemode, then it will always show up bright. If the website doesnt support darkmodes: use the newest install that comes in a few days the 120 version. Or switch to the nightly-installation where you can already now install plugins/extentions. Then install the darkreader extention. Done. Ezpz

  • This is the way. The dude in the comment above the one I am replying to described a different way where you have to change the config, which would be neccesary to do on every new installation. Via the bookmarks/shortcuts method you will have the BANG Search on every new installation just by importing your bookmarks - or if you use an firefox account with synchronisation you will already have it with your login.

Be advised that duckduckgo has already some predefined BANG Searches, that you can use without having to change anything. Just type in the search bar:

    • !g for google searches
    • !ddg for duckduckgo searches
    • !yt for youtube searches
    • !mindfactory for searches on a german pc hardware shop "mindfactory.de" Yes they have very broadly implemented websites. Even such nieche sites are already listed.
