Due to reports of misinformation from users I'll post this comment here.
No. They were not actually tossing coins backwards for good luck fighting climate change. No one knows exactly what the people in this picture were actually wishing good luck for.
I don't want to come down too hard on people but one of my jobs as moderator is to prevent the spread of misinformation.
Too many little shits over react to seeing their parents die but in real life and in movies. It's refreshing to see a more positive attitude about it being depicted tbh.
Nothing. Too many users deleted their posts and reddit decided to find a way to undo that. Your comments are worth too much to the AI bot farmers to ignore.
For some the novelty of lemmy dropped pretty quickly. Most reddit users which make up a huge chunk of lemmy users would go days if not, weeks without commenting or posting. You kinda have to factor in that a lot of people are lemmy lurkers that will comment or post once they find something that interests them.
Even if they drop the charges its fair to say that the US government absolutely ruined this man's life. Assange has basically been in some form of confinement now for 11 years. The fact that they had 7 years to prepare the case against him and still it has taken them another 4 years proves how weak the case is.
The emotion in this image. The way it creates such a complex yet, thought provoking story. This master piece challenges our perception the anarchnoid race. Here, we have a human that has purchased products designed to murder spiders that they don't know. But one lone spider puts themselves between the man and the weapon. This spider could be saving anyone. It's parents, it's wife, it's children. We don't know but what we do know is that this spider is not afraid. Makes you wonder who the real vermin is here.
Bruh. I only posted it one community which I was advised to do so by others. The others are other people sharing this in other communities. There's nothing wrong with sharing posts, in fact it can help people find other communities they might like.
That's stupid. Wouldn't the smarter thing to do be to buy the ping pong table and Dock everyone's pay because of it? That ping pong table cost the company a fortune. And no, those bite marks on the leg of pool table aren't from my dog/s
Wtf are you talking about? Employees work office jobs 9 to 5 because they love to work. Like all good employee's. Heck, if they weren't getting paid they'd still the work for free because they love it so much. It's only out of the pure goodness of my heart that I decide to pay them minimum wage/s
Ok. I'll keep this short and simple. This a yes or no question btw in case you are wondering. If Putin never gave the order to invade Ukraine would 50,000 people still be alive? Oh, and while we are at if Putin never made the decision to invade what would of happened? The only thing I can think of is that it would make him look weak. Is that worth 50,000 life? Not looking weak?
Imagine moving to Lemmy just spend most of your time just posting about reddit. There's a difference between moving on from something and choosing to stay in a perpetual state of outrage over the API decision.
Yes
