The reason it might not be on sale when you look it up yourself is that a lot of jurisdictions don't allow fake sales and price manipulation so they're forced to keep them at full price as the sale gets voided.
It's even more inaccurate than that. Look at the time a post has been up then look at comments. They are often older than the post. I see posts all the time that say they are posted "now" with comments an hour old.
It's mostly from polyester and cotton/poly blends. They dredged the ocean floor and looked at the microplastics it dug up. Sourced it from clothing mostly.
