  • Ubisoft is allowed to stream CoD? But Ubi doesn't have a streaming service? Or is CoD allowed to be on Ubi+ which enables Ubi+ subscribers to play the games through GFN / Luna?

Ubisoft was a great Stadia supporter. I'm kinda hoping they will get hold of the Stadia tech somehow and start their own streaming service.

  • Those cards still hold value and the game is made to be played with multiple of the same cards. But you're right, trading cards are a gamble.

You pay for a mystery pack

You either get good or bad cards

You'll keep buying to get better stuff

    It has all the checks.

But I think it's important you don't need to buy booster packs to enjoy the game. I can buy multiple pre-made decks and I know exactly what I get and still can enjoy the game.

Some games (now not talking about FIFA) even rely on loot boxes to make the game more enjoyable. You even can get timed stuff you can only use an X amount of days and poof.. it's gone.

Also digital purchases might be considered "too easy". With cards you at least get something physical.

Not sure though.. all I personally think is that micro transactions and loot boxes are killing the fun and quality of games.

  • Well officially you already waived your warranty by opening it yourself. So even sending it in Nintendo might noticed you already did that and won't do anything about your issue.

Doesn't it work at all anymore? Even connected directly to the screen?

Or maybe just the LED's aren't working (and with that likely the Sl and Sr as well) but still making a wireless connection?

And why did you open it in the first place? What was wrong?

  • It's the streaming part for me.

Few years ago there was Netflix and Film1 in our country and an ISP with TV that also had a movie service.

    That was about it.

Now there's Prime Video, Disney+, HBO Max, SkyShowtime, Apple TV+ and ViaPlay added to it.

It's impossible to have have just 1 and view what you want. Ofcourse you can keep on switching but some of them but it's all just making it more complicated.

Solution? Pirate it. One source and everything available even stuff that isn't on any on those services.

Also some movies can't be bought digital.

IMO all movies and series should be available on any platform and let the streaming service decide if they want to have it in their portfolio. Only the "originals" should be locked to a platform to keep stuff unique.

And make every damn movie and series available for purchase.

  • Pretty much the same.

Create a session with a friend both be on the main menu. Then both select card pop and you're done. You'll both get a random card.

With a lot of luck you'll get one of the 2 rare cards that were exclusive to the game.

You can only pop once with a friend until you popped with 15 other people after. After that the first ID is overwritten and your friend will be seen as new.

  • Yes, you can host/join an online session with a friend and play like you did with the link cable.

So online TCG sessions are possible. Also trading and even Card Pop! that only worked through the infra red is functional.

  • Banning gacha games would be a start.

I have no issue in purchasing some extra stuff, but no timed items or random stuff.

And I have to add to it.. I mean buying stuff that matters. Not just skins or anything. More like a actual DLC with more story, new characters etc. Which add a new level of experience to the game

  • A lot of the owners already got their system 4+ years. Likely more. People are going to look into more powerful hardware some day. Nintendo should be ahead of that and let them be the one with the more powerful hardware.

  • Almost 7 years later you would think everyone who wants one, already got one.

Sales are already declining. And if Switch 2 has full backward compatibly it wouldn't at least hurt sales of games since those games will run the same but hopefully better on the new hardware.

Without backward compatibly some people might skip games in order to save it for the new hardware

  • Not really.. paid items aren't stronger than free items.

For example to get a new Warframe (your armor/character with unique abilities)

    Free:

    • Find/grind Blueprints for head, chest and legs
    • Find components to build the parts (building takes time like 12h real time, you don't need to stay online/play the game)
    • build Warframe (takes 24h real time)

    Paid:

    • Buy blueprints
    • Find components to build parts
    • Buy away the wait time
    • Build Warframe
    • Buy away the wait time

    End result:

Exactly the same Warframe. You only need to grind less and wait less.

Every item/weapon/Warframe needs to be mastered. Either paid or free you'll need to play missions to level up your gear so you can attach mods to make it stronger. Mods are found in game or can be bought. Mods also need to be levelled up by gameplay to be better.

So in the end you only get the base stuff faster but everyone is required to play to get better.

Als some paid items are simply for more inventory space like extra weapon/Warframe slots. That way you can keep some more stuff instead of dumping/selling it to make room for new stuff.

To level up in Warframe it's necessary to keep using stuff you haven't used before. When you stay on your own gear you'll never really progress. But leveling up with new gear enables you to power up older gear as well.

And since it's mostly PvE you don't lose or miss out on paying players. If you solo stuff or are playing with friends then you're pretty much never in contact with a paid player.

If you play with random players then it is possible to have a higher skilled (either free or paid) player in your team that might make specific missions easier to do. But still that's totally up to you.

From all the F2P out there I personally believe Warframe to be the best game that handles their premium paid stuff without hurting free players.

The game seems complex, in the beginning it feel overwhelming. But don't be afraid to ask for help and search the Warframe wiki. The community is very friendly and the Wiki will guide you as well.

  • If this all is true then it's a matter of time before stuff gets leaked.

Kinda hoping that the September direct will announce something. The Switch itself was announced in October 2016. The September Direct was focused on 3DS back then.
