  • It's brilliant frankly, you've rigged the system but you don't want Republicans to know, so you just give them the House, the Senate, and the White House to lure them into a false sense of security. A flawless plan, they'll never see the next step coming: being helpless to stop the unfolding erosion of civil liberties and public health and safety.

  • Does yours have a website you can use through a mobile browser? With the exception of mobile depositing checks, which I do once every 15 years or so, I can do all of my banking in the browser

  • Why? Every step you move up the food chain requires roughly 10x as much inputs as outputs. To get a pound of protein from a cow you have to feed it 10lbs of plant protein. Almost all cattle feed comes from farms, just like your veggies. Anywhere we grow soybeans and hay for cattle could easily be converted to growing fruits and vegetables for human consumption. There's a small loss of efficiency by growing human-quality food instead of cattle food in these spaces, but its nothing in comparison to the loss of resources from trying to raise cattle.

Almost none of the meat we eat is truly free-range - it all gets fed farmed produce that comes from farms that could grow food for humans in a fraction of the space.

  • Which part are you dubious about?

Not enough land for meat? There is technically... but it requires factory farms and STILL we need to chop down huge swaths of the amazon to keep the machine churning.

Not enough land for plant based diets? Is takes only about 1/10th the amount of land to grow plants for human consumption than to grow plants for feeding our animals that we then consume. Sure not every alfalfa farm on the planet can switch to cucumbers out the gate, but well over 10% can...

  • This is an ego fluffer app, not a scientific study. The accuracy is "good enough" to give you a rough idea of your performance, and if youre really into optimizing WPM, give you a way to track progress or the impacts of using different keyboards.

Getting a high score doesn't actually mean anything except you probably use your phone too much.

  • Idk why I'm going to bat for the dude, because he's clearly a tool, but my phone probably has a photo of my SO's ID if you dig hard enough

Woulda been something like a "I'm buying plane tickets for our vacation, what's your passport no." kind of situation. Or, SO: "left my wallet, what's my DL# so I can pay this parking ticket".

Not certain anything is there, but we've been together long enough, I'm not certain it's not there either.

ETA: Maybe also "we're going on vacation abroad, State Department recommends keeping a separate copy of our passports in case something happens"

I recognize long term relationship is different from mistress, but still

  • Look I want to hate on overwatch because they definitely destroyed that one in pursuit of money, but that Torb at the end sitting with his turret and getting potg hit home hard.

Probably still won't play, but right in the feels man.

Maybe they can bring it back to fun.

  • The core focus of early crypto was decentralization, not anonymity. Bitcoin is totally decentralized, but the entire premise is the blockchain contains a permanent irrefutable ledger of transactions. Basically everyone knows if Wallet A paid Wallet B. If you refill your wallet with anything remotely traceable, that means everyone knows YOU paid Wallet B, and similarly if wallet B has any ties to the real world, the lines are easy to connect.

That's not to say you can't use it anonymously, but that was not the intent and thus it does anonymity poorly.
