If any illegal content would be posted there, let us know. If it's 1 community, we can block the community. If it's all over the place, we can defederate. But I see defederation as a last resort. If there are other ways to keep our server safe I prefer that.

Well if all the Reddit users would get over to Lemmy I guess all servers would need to scale up... but I think the server we have now is powerfull enough to grow quite a lot, as long as the software gets tuned ..

Optimal would be if users would spread over many servers, instead of all coming to Lemmy.world. But most users don't fully understand the Federation concept so they think they need to register here so they can see local content?

I think the current server can handle a lot of users. It's just the software that isn't ready for it.. but that will improve. If ever this server gets too small, next step would be to scale using Kubernetes, but also that requires the software to be better prepared for that.

Did you verify the e-mail ? (check spam) Let me know if that doesn't work.

Yes, it was already created and deleted. I've purged it, now you can create a new one

Which name? Sometimes the community already was created and deleted. I then need to purge it for the name to becoma available again.

Can be heavy load, so just wait or re-try (cancel and then subscribe)
