  • I know I should just look this up, but I'll ask anyway.

    Back in 2013, in grad school, I remember we used Objective C for iOS and Java for Android. Can I still build compatible apk's and iOS packages using these older language choices respectively for modern mobile OS's or am I a dinosaur and need to get with the times (swift and kotlin)?

  • Honestly, self-hosted ForgeJo instance on my RasPi4 is working splendidly and my config's relative stability has been a pleasant surprise. Why do I need to re-invent the wheel with crypto tie-ins? I am a strong proponent of BTC and ETH and have mined before, so it's not like I hate crypto-currencies.

  • One of my favorite activities, as someone who had to actually read both Adam Smith and Karl Marx in college, is to ask AnCaps and Tankies (and pretty much every other political and economic pontificator) to strictly define capitalism and socialism. Then I ask them if they think "pure" versions of those systems have ever existed.
