  • The lack of empathy AND the concept of the zero sum game. They all think someone has to lose for someone else to gain. I don't think their brains have the ability to appreciate the concept of a rising tide lifts all boats. That just goes in the shit bucket of "socialism".

  • Classic Republican with zero empathy or ability to understand anyone else’s life experience outside of their own privilege. Slaves benefited from being owned, right? STFU.

  • It is now very clear that Jan 6 was an attempt to discard my vote and 90 million other Democratic votes to instill an illegitimate president. Anyone still remaining a Republican must find this treasonous behavior acceptable. Why would I ever respect the opinion of someone who feels their singular opinion is more important than anyone else, including the Constitution?

  • Hard to take anything you say seriously as your party considers my vote and the constitution worthless. Seriously, anyone still in the Republican Party today can go fuck themselves.

  • I don't mean to be pedantic, but private relay is a little different than a third party VPN service (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212614). You still have to trust the VPN provider with your logs as well as Quad9 with your DNS requests. There are examples of VPN providers that have said "we delete your logs" when in fact they do not. On the other hand, I have to trust that Apple is not logging my browsing. To me, the private relay approach appears to guarantee that but obviously there's some risk no matter how you do it. I won't argue with the dislike for Apple services.

  • Easy privacy so my data can’t be mined. I am not comfortable with any random company or person sifting through my browsing habits. Note to yourself and others: private relay does not protect or anonymize illegal or illicit activity.

  • You may have nothing to hide, but you have everything to protect.

Hypothetical: if everyone has access to your data and habits it is trivial to modify that data to frame you for nefarious activities. In other words, why the fuck would you want every rando to be searching in your underwear drawer?

  • Threaten to sue? Maybe

Remember that in the legal process, discovery uncovers all truths and communications. Depositions are the one sand trap for people like Trump and Musk. If you lie under deposition, you get prison time. That’s why they rarely if ever agree to it.

I’ll bet a lot of money no suit is filed. This is all posturing for crazies to assume X sued them and it must not be true. Threatening to sue is the new spin doctoring.

  • I’m more interested in privacy to prevent access to my data stream and PLANTING incriminating data. It’s a hell of a lot easier to frame someone when you have easy access to their devices.

TL/DR; You may have nothing to hide but you’ve got plenty to protect.

  • Are you going to make us list all the politicians who have zero qualifications now? Like a certain Congress woman with barely a GED? It seems the only qualification Republicans require these days is to not give a shit about anyone else.
