What do you really expect given the current makeup of Congress? About all Democrats can do right now is speak out against it and try to sway public opinion.

  • What would you like democrats to do? I’m asking honestly. They have a minority in the house and the slimmest of slim majorities in the Senate. I agree they won’t do anything, because politically they cannot. Your remarks come off as if they are too pussy to do anything, and that’s not the case in my opinion.

  • Mostly true. The bit about the law the republicans passed and that the democratic Governor tried to veto is pretty relevant, although I doubt McConnell will ever resign before his term is up. The law that was passed is constitutionally dubious and sounds ripe for a court battle in favor of the Governor.

  • I don’t know if that’s actually the case. Impeachment is strictly a political process. It doesn’t include DOJ and doesn’t require an actual law to be broken. Republicans just need enough votes to bring an impeachment to the House floor.
