In your country, what "common" animals are tourists most excited to see?

  • Nope. There used to be some that went extinct millions of years before humans arrived.

    There are porcupines though, but I haven't seen them in the wild yet.

  • When I moved to USA it blew my mind that there's no hedgehogs here naturally, I was so used to having them around I kinda thought they're everywhere. I miss them. Hedgehogs are cool.

  • Can someone please ELI5 why they think that HAMAS won't just "evacuate" with the rest of these people? What's the point of destroying a chunk of the city that was abandoned? I understand that they are destroying the "infrastructure", tunnels etc. but not terrorists? Am I missing something?

  • I think in more recent times it has to do with using folks as an easy gender neutral address instead of saying you guys etc, and then it spread out everywhere because it is, well, easier and people don't want to think too much.

  • When we went to the shelter to get our cat we were informed she liked boxes very much, and indeed, she had a box in her kennel and was proudly sitting in it. They packed her and her box into a carryout box for us.

    We now have random boxes across the house for cat sitting purposes.
