Not the best solution but right now I am using Geforce now. Not gaming on linux but I am gaming while on linux. Didn't need to touch my windows partition for the past 3 months.
I am seeing it as a net positive. Especially because of the Windows 12 bit, the more Windows is an inconvenience, the more will jump ship, and some will land on linux.
Total immunity is a is not realistic in any scenario. I am referring to just the result of not getting doxxed. You can achive that by relying on security but also on anonymity.
You don't get doxxed if there is no reason to be. I might done some actions that in the eyes of someone I deserve to be punished but privacy unlinks me from those actions. I just become background noise.
For me it is a balance. Getting the achievement the correct way feels nice, but I am also aware that if the achievement is too dificult to get I might lose interest in the game. Romania you pay taxes from your salary or if you are a student then you are automatically covered. To access specialists you need a piece of paper from your designated doctor that confirms from him/her that you need a specialist.

I think you are missing my point. The "pretending" device connects to router, while the "original" device connects to the pretending device. The 2 interfaces that share the same MAC don't connect to the same network.
The user also conncets to the pretending device. to hide their access to the router.

I use Authenticator Pro. It allows backups for itself or for exporting to other apps.
