  • MU*s (MUSH, MUCK, MUSE; take your pick)

One of the more memorable moments was being on TOS Trekmuse when MacGyver, the owner of it (who worked for a studio), got some of the actual Trek cast to play their TV characters.

But beyond that, it was just pure fun playing those old Text based roleplay games. Sometimes the RP was serious, sometimes we were laughing hysterically in OOC chat, but it was always fun and it kept my typing, grammar, vocabulary and creative writing skills sharp. I miss it.

  • Going to need to add two more Xs to the name.

  • Eaten alive by mosquitoes and blackflies, which do well even with grass. As someone who also lived in an area like that (Ottawa) I was amazing when I moved across the river to Gatineau where they let their green spaces be wild and was amazed I was biking along the same river at the same time of year and there were very few bugs.

Naturalized ecosystems allow predators of mosquitoes and flies to thrive and control their numbers.

  • Yeah this is maybe a difference between install choices. I used kubernetes and the helm chart. Recognize does not have a dedicated container, but the nextcloud container has GPU resources assigned using the Intel GPU operator, and that makes pass through easy. Much easier than vanilla docker.

  • I'm going to go ahead and disagree with Memories not doing photos well. If you have it and Recognize setup properly, they replicate nearly all google photos features.

  • All of the Star Trek timelines agree, Science is blue.

  • D is the dastardly bastard that threw the first one down the hole.

  • What I see here is an intentional play on words and guess what? There literally is one Clam Meditation playlist.

I know the internet has dumbed down our humour senses with videos, but how does anyone look at this and not see it as an obvious and intentional dad joke?

  • More like NSFH (Not safe for heart)

  • I feel much more comfortable in dark rooms, with dark mode screens and quiet.

I am ADHD and ASD though, and it's ASD that leads to sensory overload conditions that make the dark, quite rooms help me a ton.

My pediatrician has told me that boys with ASD have a 90% chance of having ADHD, and its fairly common for girls as well, though not near 90%.

I suppose, since ASD diagnosis is difficult in more subtle cases and it costs a fair amount of time and money that there are a ton of folks diagnosed with ADHD that are also ASD and don't realize it.

  • I identify with this because of my ADHD.

But also, because ADHD, I spent about 15 minutes in a "does not compute" loop because bats can see perfectly well in the dark, so using them as an analogy involving something being lost and helping them by turning the lights on is just not making sense to me.

I've broken out of the loop, but I still am not sure why "bats"

  • This is also represented pretty well in Pantheon.

  • So I checked this on my smartphone first, and thought maybe the software is just shit.. So then I checked it on a Casio scientific calc, and both agree.

    -3^2 = -9... And 9 != -9

.... Are all the calculators somehow wrong? What's the math rule I'm forgetting here...

  • I mean, gas is the original surge pricing commodity, they have had dark patterns in their pricing long before other companies.
