So, we're beating /r/melbourne and this is a waste of a post. So I'm going to recommend a youtube channel called Techmoan. https://www.youtube.com/@Techmoan
Cleopatra she should be named, but one of her rescuers named her Ponyo. As her and her son, Calcifer came to me together. changing two cats' names would be pretty hard. I like the names anyway.
hahah, my son and I had a lot of laughs about the website.
We made some wicking beds out of plastic 44gallon drums, cut in half with an old long washing machine hose for the water tubes. I had some old irrigation bits we used for the drains. they worked really well. Had four, I'm sure they're still being used by the new owner. She loved the idea.
The ones I made using builders plastic were not as good, as it tears easily and its a huge job to dig soil up to replace the thing. Your clay / wood one sounds great though and seeing as we're expecting a dry summer making water saving beds are a no brainer.
I've been re-watching next gen for the third time and I can't see how people say the first season is inconsistent. It's great. Okay the black oil blob person thing was a bit silly, but the tribute to Natasha at the end was quite sweet. Cooking chicken drumsticks in the air fryer tonight, random seasoning. Hope it goes ok. They were $3.60 for a kilo, seemed legit.
Create some seat high beds and turn the edges into seats.
Have you heard about wicking beds? This website looks fucking terrible https://www.waterright.com.au/ but it's the only method I'd recommend. Regardless, creating an under bed watering system saves heaps of water and creates stronger healthier plants as they have to send roots down further. I made a bunch of them at my last house and a mate and I made amazingly productive ones he over-engineered during one of the city lockdowns where I couldn't work but the bush had almost no covid so was open. If you use the "Colin Austin" method and not one of the youtube ones the idea is that over time the soil becomes a hotbed of microbial action and this creates food which is healthier and better for your gut. The website is hard to navigate for a reason, he's annoyed people steal his idea and don't use to try and make better health outcomes and profit etc... He's an interesting chap that's for sure.
Wow reddit Melbourne has gone downhill and I never strayed far from the daily thread anyway. So much bullying and typical insensitive garbage from the mouths of people with internet connections. I finally deleted the app from my phone so I can't read it when I'm out. I can't imagine twitter dying a slow death will improve it either.
I'm getting into the groove of this new job. Seem to be fine with the low earnings which I'd hoped. I don't go out, don't drink or drug and most entertainment I find not good after 30 years of being somewhere or other in the business. I'm sure plenty of things entertain others, but its definitely a cheaper way to live. I don't need a gym, work is hard and physical. Cats almost always wake me up about 15mins before my alarm would go off. I seem generally happy.
There's a sex worker who marches up and down the street here from time to time, occasionally I'll wake up with her ranting to herself. She seems to be talking to other people in her mind and it makes me so sad to think of her predicament and know the kind of background to potentially having DID. I know a few people who have systems and it's just fucking horrendous the lives they led to get them there. I'd love to help her but the one time I asked if she was ok as she was sobbing into a tissue, she said she was fine, then hurled abuse at me when I was about 50 metres down the road.
Also did anyone you know get one of Multi Level Hippie Marketing thermomix things? They were like 2 grand at the time. They have imitators now for much less, they were pretty good, but so fucking woo it was like a wannabee yoga gurus must get object in 2012 or something.
I can't seem to ummm legally read that article. 12ft and the hold x didn't work...
