  • Note: A connection to Microsoft OneDrive is required.
Timers will not trigger without an Internet connection.

  • But not what time you set the timers for. That's in a future update

  • Exactly, the app should install updates in the background and apply them after the app is closed.

  • When I was in highschool there was a girl in my class whose religion forbade basically all medicine and she had a really bad case of whooping cough.

It was awful, I remember feeling really terrible for her she sounded like she was in a lot of pain and discomfort every day. No kids should be forced to go through that

  • Why have a service fee at all then?

Just raise the prices and use the extra income to pay the employees better if that's really your intention.

People won't get upset about the tip on top of it if you don't already have a "service charge" sectioned off in the receipt.

  • I have a USB-PD wall plug and a battery that are both capable of 100W charging.

I use the same charger and cable to charge my laptop, phone, headphones, wireless mouse, soldering iron, and the portable battery (which itself can also charge all the others) Probably a bunch of others I'm forgetting.

It has significantly reduced the number of chargers and cables I need to carry around. I only buy usb-c capable accessories now.

Anyone who ever has to do some soldering on the go should check out the Pinecil soldering iron from Pine64, it's a great tool at a truly incredible value and it can do 85W soldering from a USB-PD battery (or wall charger)

  • I wouldn't recommend an inexperienced person mess with AC voltage but a 5-12V DC power adapter with a couple Amps max is a long way from dangerous and it's not a fire hazard either really

  • I use S3 with Kopia and some rules that move things to cheaper tiers as they get older.

  • In any case it's very uncommon.

    Maybe in your house 😏

  • Yes this was many years ago. Nobody pays per-text anymore but the past restrictions influenced people's preferred messaging services in a way that stuck

  • I think this issue is why we have protected classes and why sexual orientation/preference/gender should be one.

When you say "graphic artists can reject any idea and they don't have to justify it" the implication is that they can reject it for any reason which is not strictly true.

"I don't feel like it" is a perfectly valid reason.

"I don't like Black people" is not.

A photographer can choose not to do a job because they don't feel like it, but not because it's for a Black person or a Jewish person.

The issue here that is being overlooked in a lot of the discussion (but definitely is not being overlooked by the Supreme Court) is that LGBTQ people are not a protected class. Every time one of these cases pans out it sets another precedent that will be used to keep it that way.

It's not the same as being forced to photograph a Trump rally or campaign photos. A far more apt comparison imo is race. Most people would agree that a business (any business) should not be able to exclude someone based on their race.

  • As a hobbyst programmer I can tell you there isn't an idea dumber that putting code into something immutable

Wut. Immutable OSs are super hip right now

  • Hot chocolate powder is a great coffee ingredient if you aren't gonna drink it black

  • Instant coffee is criminal, no wonder you don't drink it black

  • Just thought it was worth clarifying since a lot of people treat RCS and Google Messages like the same thing when one is a Google product (Google Messages) and the other is an open standard (RCS)

Google Messages is built on RCS but if Apple wanted interoperability they would only need to support the open standard (RCS) not use any of Google's code or require Google's permission.

  • Try Beeper!

Links all those services into one client using Matrix for the backend.

Drop me a DM if you want a referral code (that goes for anyone interested!)
