So they change their flag from one symbol widely used by Nazis to another symbol widely used by Nazis, but somehow that doesn't make them Nazis.
Care must therefore be used to correctly interpret this symbol in whatever context in which it may be found
The context is it's a widely-known Nazi symbol on a flag for a battalion whose members frequently express neo-Nazi views. What other fucking context do you need?
Arguing "well actshually they used a bunch of different symbols" is more Nazi apologia since very few symbols were used as widely by the Nazis as the swastika or the wolfsangel. There's a reason you don't see neo-Nazis tattooing antifa flags on their bodies.
“I truly do like the fact that those senators and congressman were in fear for their lives,” Fellows told jurors near the end of his roughly 19-minute opening statement, doubling down on statements he had made on social media in the wake of the riot.
I hope more chuds can be encouraged to represent themselves in court after taking pictures of themselves committing felonies, this shit is hilarious.
Mirror universe Musk was actually a great guy who selflessly tried to improve humanity, and mirror-Lorca calls him a great man because that's who good people in the mirror universe would praise.
you have to acknowledge that they did really good job of introducing themselves, though - i had no idea they even existed the day before that thread and i am firm proponent of "defederate. now." today 😆
Is that why you haven't stopped whining about us ever since
ok but when someone says "Hollywood is too woke these days" or "Stop pushing your woke agenda on my children!" it's not exactly a mystery as to what they really mean.
It was an extremely bigoted, vulgar, personal attack on an admin in his own thread about why Hexbear deserves a second chance.
Sure, no arguments there.
An utterly vile statement like that followed by your soft "time and place" non-rebuke does not deserve any benefit of the doubt so yes, I will absolutely jump to the obvious interpretation.
Okay, but I've already clarified that I didn't agree with what he said, and all I was trying to say was "be nice." You obviously want less needless hostility from Hexbear users towards other instances, and I want that, too. Please afford us the same respect.
Especially in a thread about continued unacceptable Hexbear behavior. "Read the room" indeed.
In the same message the admin has also asked all users to "Be kind to each other, even if you disagree." I'm respecting that request by trying to have a polite discussion with the users in this instance, but I have received nothing but hostility from you in return.
I understand that users outside of Hexbear might be offended by it, and that's entirely understandable and I absolutely agree we should behave ourselves outside of our own instance. But respectfully it isn't your place to tell us how to conduct ourselves within our own instance.
I'm not an admin or a mod for Hexbear, so I don't have the power to dictate what other users say or to remove their comments. My point was this message was needlessly hostile against an instance admin who is acting in good faith and apologizing for a previous action against one of our users. I was politely telling him to cool off and be nice. I apologize if my comment was misinterpreted as an endorsement of what he said. That said, while I understand many users aren't fond of us at Hexbear, I would appreciate if you would not immediately jump to the worst possible interpretations of our comments.
For the record, I think the time and place for such rhetoric would be exclusively within the Hexbear instance, against agitators who are deliberately being hostile towards us. Outside of Hexbear, and with users who are at least trying to engage in good faith, I agree that Hexbear users are often too impulsive with escalating directly to dunks and spamming PPB. In this case, I thought the user was way out of line and I politely told them so. Apparently they agreed and deleted their own comment.
I know Hexbear users can be a bit much, but I think we're capable of having level-headed conversations with other instances about toning it down whenever we step outside our own hive.
Wait you mean taxing the rich actually works?
