  • No US companies thought that Americans would ever understand or get into this weird Japanese stuff

I miss the subtitled "translator notes" about cultural things. US companies just change the meaning of things if there's no easy equivalent.

  • There's a performative aspect involved. Similarly, it's not a waste of time if a dance or a music jam is performed but not recorded, even if there is no audience.

An advantage to drawing something that will be erased -- instead of just imagining it -- is that it helps train your fine motor skills, and allows more intense cognition (i.e. you can draw something, stop and think about it, then draw some more, instead of relying entirely on visual and short-term memory.)

Finally, if you have writer's block or a similar anxiety then a whiteboard is low-threat because a quick wipe and it's gone.

That was a far-out read, thanks. I was all hyped about the Andromeda Galaxy merging with the Milky Way, until I realized that humanity would be extinct or highly speciated.

  • This announcement is full of weasely language.

"We understand that you may have concerns about your digital copies from Funimation."

The problem is your concerns. We are being understanding about your problem.

"Please note that Crunchyroll does not currently support Funimation Digital copies, which means that access to previously available digital copies will not be supported."

Crunchyroll does not support this, which means that it will not be supported. Your role here is to note this.

    "We appreciate your understanding..."

We are being appreciative. Your are being understanding. That's the way it is, got it?

  • I tried living like this, but I couldn't. A couple more things I need:

    • sheets: both a fitted sheet for the matress and a second loose sheet on top
    • some kind of blanket or comforter on top of the sheets
    • two pillows, one "soft" and one "firm".

That being said... tables? A chair? Who are you, the King of France? In fact you don't even need the matress, just get a futon that you can fold up for more space and use a laptop on top of that, like I'm doing right now.
