  • Many informed responses already so I'll add my uninformed opinion.

Political change has never occurred in a vacuum. Communism is a direct threat to capitalism. So the US capitalists will do everything in their power to undermine and disrupt communism.

  • Edge isn't that bad. You need something to download Firefox with.

The bullshit is when every windows link insists on opening in edge rather then your default browser.

  • It's kind of ridiculous, possibly even insulting to suggest the pies could be served to people in need.

If recovered there would be no verification of the temperature they were stored at, whether they were still sealed, whether vermin had been crawling all over them.

I agree the food waste is frustrating but it's not fit for much more than low quality animal feed.

  • Easter isn't really a big deal in the UK. I'd expect places to be closed over Christmas but probably not Easter.

There may be reduced opening hours and smaller venues and shops may be closed but London is a vibrant city so I expect you'll find plenty to do.

If there are specific places you want to visit it might be worth checking their website or emailing them to confirm. Or just try booking tickets for those dates and you'll see.

If anything because people have time off you might find there's more going on at Easter than other times. You'll certainly find egg hunts and other such activities for kids at tourist attractions

  • Rust is very different to Python and Cargo is very different to apt.

When you build your rust/Cargo project it compiles all the dependencies specified in Cargo.toml into a single executable.

That executable (with some exceptions) can then be run without any dependencies. You don't even need Rust or cargo installed. Therefore the Rust running in the kernel is entirely isolated from whatever your Rust app is doing.

There's no need for virtual environments etc

  • I tried to setup Loki but the documentation was atrocious. Everything was outdated, referring to tools that were marked deprecated but documentation for the replacements just didn't exist.

  • Because developing a tool solely for a roundtrip test is probably a waste of time. Perhaps it's an easier exercise than I think but I would have thought you could manually test it far quicker and more thoroughly than by automating the process

  • I gave up on Rainbow Six as well. I didn't really understand the plot.

Apparently I was meant to be on the side of Team America: World Police and not sympathise with the environmentalists trying to save the world from corruption and climate change.
