  • Selection in freecad sketches is really bad. Box select with dragging the mouse doesn't work, you can't mask elements (make only points or only curves selectable), selections are added to the current selection instead of replacing it even if you aren't holding shift, and if you miss and click on the backgeound accidentally it unselects everything. And selections aren't part of history so if you spend five minutes selecting a lot of specific elements and then misclick once, welp do it all over again, no undo for you.

There are a few tool buttons like "selected constraints related to the currently selected element" which are really helpful though.

  • There's not really any room for interpretation in "by this they will know you're my disciples: if you love one another."

There is room for interpretation in every statement, and that is far from the only quote in the Bible that defines what a Christian is.

and I'm not going to accept their redefinition of a term that applies to me.

Then nobody else needs to accept your definition either.

I'm not trying to convince non-Christians that he's not a Christian. I'm trying to convince other Christians that he isn't.

You are literally trying to convince me, an atheist, right now.

Love to, but he (and those like him) doesn't believe I'm a Christian, because I'm not a Republican. So they won't listen to people like me.

You can't do anything about it and it's his fault that you can't? Because that's a really pathetic defense.

  • being a part of the religion requires them to do something (repent and love others)

By your definition, but there are plenty of people who seem to have other definitions, enough that he is publicly labeled as a Christian. It would seem the strict biblical definition of who is a Christian does not apply, like many other biblical rules, such as not wearing clothing of mixed fabrics.

You're not going to convince non Christians he's not one you with denial alone. You can either own him and better him, or suffer the changing public perception of your religion.

  • 5000 year of experimentation ain't worth shit if isn't written down and organized so the data can be analyzed.

You've got 5000 years of anecdotes, which is worth as much as the shit I'm taking right now compared to actual science.

  • Politicians are motivated by re-election chances.

And if they're in charge of the truth, what do you think they'll do to improve their chances?

Politicians are notoriously corrupt and will happily chase personal profits just as much as any company does. I don't think it's reasonable to assume that such a ministry would have any oversight or accountability just because it's politicians instead of business people.

And we can make the same demands for accountability and regulation regardless of who it is.
