  • Thanks. I don't know about that, I've made my share of mistakes and have done a lot of dumb shit in my day. I just can't handle seeing animals (or people) have to struggle to survive. I've been there, it sucks. As long as I can do something about it I will. That's worth more to me than upgrading my old pc or spending money on myself because it makes them happy... which makes me happy.

  • And they were all strays, or born from a stray. Already had 5 when I moved here where I am, then made friends with two stray moms who both had 4 kittens, making 15 total. Then another 3 toms came along. Then lastly around xmas a stray kitten (Pip, the grey boy in the top right) showed up at my door in -36c weather, so of course I brought him in.

The only shelter around here has too many cats and will euthanize any brought in so I decided I'm going to do my best to give all these furry rodents love and a place to call home as best as I can, and here we are. It's a killer on the little money I have but they're safe and that's all that matters to me.

Worst part is I'm attached to all of them now lol! I'm not even a cat person...er...wasn't.. I guess I am now.

  • I've got like 19 of them if you need to borrow a few. Any particular color preferences? (This isn't all of them)

  • Worth mentioning that the author is Erin O'toole, former leader of the conservatives. They love selling things off and privatizing them.

  • Musk wants to expand his (and putin's) disinformation empire to control what you hear and think. They rely on obfuscation to sway the narrative to push their agenda, and bots and deepfakes are an effective means to do that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ5XN_mJE8Y

  • If you really want to know why Musk would do that, this video by Benn Jordan sheds a lot of light on what's been going on with Musk and Twitter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZ5XN_mJE8Y

  • No but the people who don't believe in science and can't be bothered to even attempt to keep a virus contained are overwhelmingly religious.

  • I know in Manitoba two of the "hotspots" were reportedly from Gretna (pretty religious) and a church in Winkler.

  • Along the same lines, A lot of times I'll think of saying/doing something but then end up second guessing myself so much that I have to look it up just to confirm I'm not wrong. Then I feel even more stupid for not believing myself the first time.

  • Was having a party and a buddy had a bunch of weed. Due to a noise complaint the cops showed up at the door so I answered it and talked to the cops. Told them I'd turn the music down a bit and all was good.

Just as I was closing the door and going back to the party I heard the toilet flush. My overly paranoid buddy had flushed all his weed down the shitter.

  • Ah, that makes more sense than what I was thinking.

  • Ya just my silly mind at work and I thought it was a little humorous at least, even if no one else did.

  • Well yes, the story of Arthur goes back centuries, that's where they got the idea from for the movie. It's just that to me "Tainted Grail" sounded like something right up their alley.

  • Yup, he has still been showing up at the White House, and the states is still pushing Starlink contracts on other countries, and Elon has a bid in for the contract for Trump's "Golden Dome." He is still very much around.

  • They are just trying to hide from the bad press. I have no doubt that Musk has his fingers in all the things just like before, they're just being quiet because of the backlash.

  • With a name like that I half expected a Monty Python themed game.
