86c is fine. Especially with laptops the bios will not spin up your fan much when it doesn't need to. You could check if there are other fan profiles in bios or override them with fan control software.

It'll take effort to break the habit, but think twice about before buying stuff. The sale might give you FOMO but remember that if it has a negative impact on your life then it has negative value, they should be paying you to get rid of that trash. And be proud of yourself successfully resisting temptations.
