There's some other minor tech that's fairly nice that I haven't seen in cheaper cars. Lights under the door to light up the ground on dark nights for when you're getting out. Just solid utilitarian tech right there.
That and I think there's a fair bit of elitism as well. Everyone is always trying to one up each other and since you can only go so expensive with the beans and equipment the next step is
to be pretentious with the prep.
I recall having a teacher who said that as long as a student was legitimately trying regardless of anything the teacher would always give them more extra credit so they could reach whatever grade they wanted to aim for. You could tell he legitimately loves teaching kids and would light up whenever a kid who had been struggling finally understood something.
I just found out it's called professional line and it's a thing. A streamer I watch has a mostly adult community and without fail every time he puts out a merch line there's people asking for the professional line. Its basically the clothing blanks with no mayor logos and maaaaybe a tiny monogram somewhere that blends in.
Granted his shirts aren't usually just solid color so a professional line makes sense, they have some sort of pattern or are dyed in weird ways and then have his art on it. He hasn't put out merch with just his name since the early days, it's actually cool stuff now.
Our teacher offered extra credit to anyone who chose to memorize it. It was crazy too, I almost considered trying it since it didn't seem that hard. The extra credit was enough to affect 20 percent of the grade. Then I realized most people who would try it are probably just smart enough to get an A already anyways, I know I was.
The thing is, they most non chain restaurants could just buy locally and it'll be cheaper. It just takes some elbow grease and effort which owners don't wanna do for better quality stuff.
I know it's possible cause every trendy area I've gone to eat at has restaurants advertising local produce from farmers market and they're prices are always the same or cheaper than other trendy restaurants in the area.
I think your mcDonald's is fucking up. I bought one maybe 3 months ago and it just had a spoon and regular straw. Paper straw for anything thicker than regular liquid is just brain dead.
Idk man, Im not saying this to get into a flame war or anything but you're just having a snowflake take. I've never had issues with my paper straws while I'm eating. They last more than long enough for my slow ass to finish eating and sipping while talking and vibing with whoever I'm eating with.
Like with everything it's a spectrum. I've known republican restaurant owners who also hire undocumented people, as well as warehouse, construction and field jobs. The difference at least usually is that the left leaning owners vote in a way that would help those undocumented people vs Republicans that vote in a way that would hurt everyone that isn't exactly like them and in plenty of cases even hurt people who are exactly like them.
Fuck I don't get your downvotes, you're right. I get people want to vent but in the greater scheme of things having to use different words to be a smidge more inclusive isn't that big of a deal or effort considering what some of us do to help our friends be accepted.
I was literally talking about this with my fiancee and I agree with you. The Borderlands movie should have been Borderlands 4 and been a direct continuation of the games, then the next game is just borderlands 5.
Thanks bud, I be struggling here.
