I've heard all of the horror stories from these marketplaces. When I went to buy a mini fridge I had the cash literally in hand when I knocked on the door so they could see I wasn't trying to mess around with that, took a quick glance to make sure the fridge was on and working and just handed the person the cash, picked ul the fridge and left with a thank you. Easy peasy for us both.
Probably because people have been using it since the 90s for either gender. Same with dude. I was in high school over a decade ago but back then I remember dude and guys being gender neutral, both guys and girls used it that way. Funnily enough this same conversation was happening back then too among my peers, and we all agreed it was already gender neutral at the time.
If you ever go to Japan save up some good money for collectibles. They're sold at VERY reasonable prices and because it's Japan and people take care of their shit they're in very good conditions a lot of the time. You'll want to buy a lot of your childhood stuff, I know I did. I had to buy an extra checked luggage just for all the stuff I brought back and I only traveled with my carry on because I wasn't expecting to buy anything except for a game cube which I could fit. Turns out I was wrong.
Visited Japan last year and picked up all the originals in Japanese. Red, blue, green, yellow, crystal, gold and silver. Solid condition and working for a decent price at an out of the way recommended shop. I would like to pick up the boxes but they would probably be more expensive because of the rarity. I'll probably end up buying some aftermarket on Etsy just to display them.
I literally had to bring all my group kicking and screaming onto discord literally within the year it launched. Same story, non stop bitching about Skype but all of a sudden nobody wanted to try discord. I straight up had to send a message to all of them saying I'm uninstalling and dropping my discord link if they wanted to play. Over the course of a month they all switched over, couldn't be happier.
Which most people are or should be tbh. Also, if anyone is searching for a dumb TV it's more or less guaranteed they're tech savvy enough to be running some sort of stream box/pc anyways for the TV.
Just in case anyone needs to hear this, bbb isn't a government department. They are quite literally yelp before yelp and you can straight up pay to get bad reviews taken down from both. It would be better to put them on blast on social media since that sometimes gets the companies attention to try and fix PR.
It's not only you. A couple years ago I sold and set up brand new display tvs. They were atrocious with how much they lagged out of the box. I stay away from roku for that reason, their TCL roku tvs are the worst for lag, or they were back then at least.
