  • Savory autumn fetus?

  • Did he really just leave his IP wide open? Or did they somehow manage to get through his seven proxies to find him?

I know I'm being paranoid. What I don't know is if I'm being paranoid enough.

  • "Borrow" from your relatives, so they are creditors, and owed money from your estate.

  • (a) Then how did Tom Hanks get involved? "Starring actor" was included in the premise.

    (b) If he knows he's the last black man on earth, sure. But that would suggest a predictable, but unavoidable tragedy, known months in advance to give enough time to actually produce the movie.

  • I mean, if its a documentary on the last black man on earth, it couldn't actually be played by a black man.

Unless it was produced in space, or on another planet, I suppose.

  • Never used plex. Finally got around to installing Jellyfin. Very happy with it.

  • No, but it should be.

In Mario Kart, if a player gets too far ahead of the pack, the game starts giving blue shells to other players. Blue shells track down and knockout the leading player, giving the rest a chance to catch up.

  • He ordered them in his first term. They are currently slated to enter into service in 2029.

  • Imagine if you had set it to 15 minutes... Or disabled meetings completely!

  • I think you read the comment wrong.

When you earn a billion dollars, you'll pay $250 million in taxes, and receive $10,000 in UBI. You are, indeed, taxed more than you receive.

  • I wouldn't characterize that "kidswap" plan as "cheating".

The government has no interest in whether my kid moves in with my neighbors. It should not be establishing a regulation that encourages them to do so, nor should the government claim fraud because they dont think the kid moved far enough away to qualify as "leaving home".

This plan is discrimination on the basis of familial status, which should be prohibited.

  • Only thing I'd add is to make sure that, for those who make above a certain income (the "rich"), any tax owing must be paid in full before the UBI is paid out. This prevents the float issue from coming back for those who pay late.

No need. Interest and penalties on the unpaid taxes amount to significantly more than the float.

UBI should be treated more like a dividend paid to a shareholder. The shareholder's financial situation is irrelevant to what the shareholder is owed.
