I am old enough to remember consoles connecting to an RF Switch, which then plugged into the TV. Channel 3, baby. Whats your point?

Me not using a Switch since shortly after it came out doesn't mean anything. I brought it up because it was part of my point that I could not remember if there was a profile or parental setting to filter eroge on the Switch eShop. Perhaps there was not when I had used the Switch but now there is, a lot can change in 6 years.

Are you sure it was London? Or was it just a city you thought was London?

My very first thought was Syberia, but that game is much older than 10 years old.

Nintendo (and Sony, actually) have been highly criticized for censorship of games on their platform. Particularly, adult anime styled games.

I know this may come as a shock to you, so please sit down before you read this, but adults do infact buy and use Nintendo consoles.

Hentai games (or rather called by their proper name, "eroge," which is a portmanteau of "erotic game") are pretty popular amongst Japanese gamers. In fact, many of Japans biggest games or game franchises started off as eroge. Nintendo intentionally cutting out that much of their market would be stupid, as it means less sales of their hardware, obviously.

I am unsure how these games are filtered in the eShop, though I would imagine that a parent would be able to control the ratings or tags of games that would appear in the eShop of their child's account, to prevent these games from being in their child's eShop feed. I don't know how, as I haven't used a Switch since about 2018.

Is there any other information you can recall about the game? Platform, character design, art style, etc?

Interesting, but honestly this takes too much time to be a captcha. The longer it takes people to complete a captcha, the higher chances greedy people start looking to inject ads into it. I mean, they already do, but like, worse. Afterall, captchas are not "skippable," and therefore ads in a captcha cannot be skipped.

Id rather not live in a world where verifying I am a human means I need to be subjected to 27 ads just to find the one thing I need to click on to prove I am, in fact, a human.

Mostly one at a time, but it depends.

Typically I play Marvel Rivals with my friend group, as it is one of the few multiplayer games these days that supports at least 5 people on a team (we already tried League, Paladins, etc and got tired of that real quick).

On my own, I sometimes feel like playing a retro game, so I have been playing Legend of Dragoon, but recently my save file got corrupted somehow so I haven't restarted. Instead I switched to playing a less retro game, Need for Speed Carbon. Its been maybe 10 years since I played it last, so it has been interesting dealing with the horrendous rubberbanding and random crashing on PC. I also like to play Goddess of Victory NIKKE as a mobile game whenever I have down time but am away from home.

But I don't think it is atypical to really focus on playing one game at a time. I'd say that would actually be quite unusual and likely only done by people who have a job playing multiple games per day (a not so good reviewer, streamer, etc).

I wonder if this has bled over into Canadian-oriented Lemmy instances as well

Because they ranked Dragon Age Veilguard at number 6. Compared to the other games they have on the list (and some that are missing), that ranking is just objectively not true.

Veilguard only had one good writer, for a single character, and she quit recently.

They put Dragon Age Veilguard above Metaphor ReFantazio, Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2, STALKER 2, Caves of Qud, Stellar Blade, Crow Country, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Mouthwashing, and Zelda Echoes of Wisdom. Not to mention some very massive, high profile games, with literal millions of players more than Dragon Age Veilguard are completely missing.

They put Dragon Age Veilguard at number six.

The person that made this list is either a paid shill, or a stupid shill. Or both.

And this is the ONLY game that this updated killed? If thats the case, sounds like a game problem to me.

Veilgard definitely should not be on there. The game only had one good writer for a single character, and she left the company recently.

Of course this comes out like 2 weeks after I pick up an R36S.
