The insane part is how many are going along with it. Not just yes men around him, but so many others from public officials that don't stand to gain anything from this, to the public who is either so far in they can't rationalize basic information, or somehow still are seeing some fantasy pained for them by their media they prefer, because "liberals bad" mentality. When you lose your job and healthcare and prices are skyrocketing and it's still someone else's fault, not the guy and his minions doing all this shit...you're lost.
Nitpick, I do believe just like the storage for the actual computer in the ship (isolinear optical at first then more complex in TNG), positronic brain storage is not one to one comparable to what we use. Or rather, a bit may be the same (again, maybe not, I don't think it's binary) but how it's used is a lot different than our slow versions.
Of course nothing will happen, legally. What will happen is it rally up his supporters and just by the nature of people supporting the ideas, he'll do stuff on the idea that he has some mandate that will become Constitutional one day. He's already doing things that are far past his power legally and morally, even going against active judicial demands. Why is he going to wait for the actual legality of it all?
I wish that commenting would automatically upvote a post. It's far too late to fix the use of an upvote as approval of subject discussion and not just an agree arrow, but I often...no, I almost always forget to upvote the initial topic even after leaving a few paragraphs. One would hope whatever algorithm is used also considers activity and number of comments in a rating or suggesting it to others.
To be fair, the car flags and stickers appeared after 9/11. Iraq was a convenient rotate into revenge for Daddy.
Not justifying the flag stuff, but at the time briefly it felt like the country had been as a whole attacked and we were one. Then the shit started, the blaming Americans here who looked like the ones who did it, the Patriot Act quickly being agreed to while some of noticed there wasn't even time to read it, etc. But just saying, 9/12 and the days after, the whole flag thing seemed rational.
Another for In Deep Geek. All the ones I've seen listed here I've seen before I swear people in the their video comments often mention their soothing voice deliveries.
His Geo Detective bits are exactly what OP is looking for. No competition, just using his knowledge, skills, and luck to help people find things, usually from historical pictures of their loved ones.
It's not contradiction, you're talking about something different. I'm talking about First Past The Post elections vs. other systems that allow more than two parties to be competitive.
Looks like a Rain World slugcat. Probably something they'd do, too.
