Serious games are a genre. So like education games, brain training games. These are called Serious Games. This is a traditional Action RPG with the aim to make the players think. :)

Makes sense. I have great hope for NVK, the open source Nvidia Vulkan driver, in 1 or 2 years. Perhaps then, things will be the other way around. :)

OP of the original video here. Wait till you see the Nvidia Optimus results. Even I was dumbdfounded by them. Windows is SOOOO bloated it's thermal throttling like no tomorrow on my laptop. Linux is about 20% faster even on Nvidia. XD

I reinstalled Tumbleweed and it worked fine. Have a 3080M vs 6800M benchmark coming up once it's done transcoding.

This is on an M.2 with a i7-10870H and a 3080M. I installed Windows some days ago on my main Desktop and didn't have to deal with any of that. It must be a new "feature".

And yeah, some games wouldn't even boot. So I'm doing 5 games in this benchmark after all. Perhaps it's cause it's an Optimus laptop.

This is before you ever see the desktop. You HAVE to do it. It's part of the Windows installation now.

My 3080M won't go higher than 80W on Linux for the past 3 years that I have this laptop. I tried both the 535 and 545 drivers, still same issue. This is absolutely unacceptable.

I haven't really played so I can't really tell you.

On the left it's Linux and on the right it's Windows.

Hahaha, I will admit the previous title was somewhat in people's faces. I just went with a factual title this time. XD

I literally installed the system and Steam and ran the games. Linux is easier than you think with an AMD GPU. AMD Drivers are not even needed.
