  • Maybe use privacy.com instead (they also have an app), they can generate virtual credit cards and you can set limit is (one time payment, or monthly $10 only, etc). It’s great if you need to cancel something or if they try to charge you extra. Saved me $150 when boost tried to charge me 1 year after I bought a phone from them!

It’s also great for predatory services like GYM membership that you can’t cancel.

  • Maybe it was just the models I saw that fell apart, not every Nissan. The only ones I saw that bad were the ones that came into the shop to have something fixed unrelated to all the broken stuff.

  • Take the course again, you already know some, so it should be easier to study more. Just don’t take it too many times, when I was in college there was a limit or 3-4 times you can take a course.

  • Yikes, sorry to hear about your accord! That’s just crazy.

I stopped caring about cars newer than about 2012 or so, when they all got touch screen info centers that sell the driving data to the insurance companies. Just makes me sick.

  • I worked at a mechanic shop years ago and every Nissan that came in was falling apart, but they were all older 90s ones. Seats that don’t stay up, plastic panels broken and missing, glove boxes opened, latches and knobs broken, etc.

I owned a Mitsubishi before and it was like a Honda civic but way lower quality. It held up ok except when the brakes didn’t want to work when I really needed them. Yes I rear ended a few times until I decided to SCRAP the car at the junkers.

I owned several Hondas and they all were good quality (mostly 80-90s and a 2000). Usually basic maintenance it all it needed.

  • I left abusive family and live in my car in the middle of the desert. I’m happy as can be, I’m FREE! There’s usually a good side to the bad stuff, hope you have a wonderful holidays and find ways to cheer yourself up. Life can be amazing and sometimes the negatives are in our heads.

  • I use a small GPD win laptop. It can game and it’s super small, I think 7 inch touchscreen. Battery last a few hours and recharges with USB-C (I use solar to charge it). I run Linux on it now and it’s been good. I upgraded the SSD to 1tb Samsung NVMe, and it’s nice the laptop has a micro SD slot to empty my camera and drone.

Or a MacBook Air if you want a larger screen.

  • These are the ones I was interested in.

I went for a few bundles because I already owned thief sim and one of the metro games, so the bundles were an even better deal.

I checked the steam db website and a lot of these were all time low.

  • I have that book in storage, soon after septic is installed I plan to get my stuff here, need the tools to build.

We have been planning on a composting toilet in the house.

The septic will be used for the kitchen sink (it’s considered black water here) but everything else can be used for plants if we use safe soaps for the liquids and compost the solids long enough.

  • I have been planning to homestead for close to 20 years, and just jumped into the lifestyle 2 months ago.

My wife and I are living in a tiny SUV with our cat. We have a fridge, twin bed, warm blankets, plenty of food and water. We have an outhouse tent for our business. It has a $4 bucket with a $15 toilet lid. I added a container and a funnel in there for liquids, and we use bags for the solids. Works for us.

We have explored the state and went to some really cool places, until we found land we purchased.

As soon as the septic is installed we can legally live in an RV, we can start a compost pile, start a garden, get chickens, and try being as self sufficient as we can.

I also want to make and design my own off grid things, for example making a wood gasifier. Then in an emergency we can run gas things from wood (generator, truck, tractor, etc).

I plan to share my experience on YouTube once we have an RV, hoping I can help people to live a more sustainable life.
