  • I’ve been there. It sucks sooooooooo much. Especially if you’ve made family sacrifices (missing events etc.) to travel to get those deals closed - just to see them just evaporate in a whim.

That’s why I got out of Tech Sales and into management.

  • Calm your pits Beka.

Nobody should be advocating for a Final Solution.

People were this divided over FDR. My next door neighbor only ever referred to FDR as that “gimpy legged sonofabitch”. This was in the 1970’s.

If the good guys win the election, we can start to heal this if we choose to. But only if we take the complaints of everyone seriously. Ignoring the needs and political power of white men is what got us into this cluster.

If the bad guys win, start looking for allies.

  • I live in a Southern city. I shop in nice stores that are advertised in Garden & Gun.

They are selling Reagan Bush ‘80 and Reagan Bush ‘84 swag.

That is a dog whistle to say “I’m not down with Trump, but it’s not because I’m not conservative”.

    There are serious cracks.

  • Governments need money. If the Government can’t collect enough taxes to keep pay their bills, they have to borrow. Hyperinflation sets in when the Government can’t collect taxes and nobody will loan it to them so they just print massive amounts of worthless paper.

Raising interest rates entices people to loan the government money and increases the amount of cash paid for loans.

Both of these consequences soak cash out of the economy which increases the value of the cash that remains which is what combating inflation really is. While providing non-printed currency the government can use to pay bills.
