We watched Rescuers Down Under all the time, never had any idea it was actually a sequel, I didn't see the first one until I was in highschool.

We grew up watching Blues Brothers, we'd watch it like every other week. That movie holds up so well, i still watch it occasionally.

Life as a repo man is always intense.

Me and my brothers loved the Asterix and Obelix books, we used to get them every time we went to the library. We probably read through most of them several times.

We also really loved the Tintin books, it was crazy to me when they made a movie from them, prior to that i had never known anybody else who had heard of Tintin.

If i ever got the opportunity I'd love to start collecting them, would be a real nostalgia kick.

I tend to agree with what you're saying about the shallowness of the story and missions. GTA5 is beautiful in terms of landscape and visual design, but there's not much substance there. I like to play once in a while just to kind of wander around and enjoy the scenery, but it isn't very engaging to me beyond that. To each their own I suppose.

I love that miniseries so much, I rewatch it like every few months. Watching all the total denial in the face of terrible facts and consequences is endlessly fascinating to me.

Yeah, I definitely agree that it's kind of a systemic problem, and pretty much how things are right now. I don't really care for that mindset of focusing so much on older games and not prioritizing new ideas or IPs. At the same time, I'm honestly a total sucker for nostalgia, I grew up playing games from like late 90s to mid 2000s, and I would be so stoked if they remade or remastered all those games I grew up on. I would throw money at whoever remastered the Need For Speed games from '98 to '06, as good as those games were for the time, they could look so amazing with modern technology. I wanna relive my teenage years but in 4k :D

Remakes: Yes Remasters: No

I don't like when they remake a game I loved but they add a bunch to it like new gameplay mechanics, or make changes to stories or characters. That being said not all remakes are bad, probably most are just fine, but really not my cup of tea.

I greatly prefer a straight remaster. Just update the graphics, remaster the sound, maybe add a little more details to the game world, and I'm a happy dude.
