  • And Glühwein or other hot adult drinks.

Any hot or warm snacks might go a long ways, too.

  • Fuller runs Freightwaves. He’s all over the place prognosticating the shipping and logistics community.

I could find no source for the OP post other than the linked popup “news” site.

Fuller is more recently quoted as saying the “recession” (the market downturn due to trump’s idiotic knee-jerk tariff implementation) is over and expecting a market change.

Dude’s an idiot, just another CEO analyst always trying to put a positive spin on any negative event to do with his industry.

  • That’s the same logic people use to remove things like sex ed, discussion of lgbtq, or even racism use.

If we don’t talk about the thing then it won’t happen, or, if we talk about the thing then the kids will want to or know how to do it.

DARE was pretty stupid, though. And i’m sure I have a DARE labeled pencil or two in the bottom of a box somewhere still.

  • My opinion? Hardcopy.

I still have CDs of old games. I can install and play the base version if they only require the code on the back of the jewel case. Some even allow private servers for multiplayer.

New ones? DRM, licensing servers, gameservers, download sources…as they disappear, so do the games because nobody can play them.

  • There are some that blame administration costs, which is correct because of the multiple layers of redundancy in US schools - each district has its own administration, plus more at the state level - but some also blame the rising costs of benefits.

The latter seems far more of a right wing target because they attack the employee getting benefits, not the insurance companies jacking up the costs of benefits like health or life insurance.

  • Tarps, tent, flys, cleaning coolers and drying them too, re-packing everything in storage if camping isn’t a regular event…yeah. It’s fun, but there’s a reason it’s not super common for most people.

  • For me, camping is fun the day after I get home and have already had a shower, a good sleep, and put everything away.

  • Just forcing more people towards mechanics. Can’t see levels or if there might be an issue with a lubricant, so if you burn up a transmission, guess you gotta buy a new one.

  • I can’t wait to see people passing out or getting injured because of these seats.

E: plenty of people arguing like people of good health will be the only passengers.

  • For republicans, “wealth transfer” is a dirty phrase if used in any shape or form that leans towards fairness, a level playing field, and equality. However, handing money to the already wealthy and fuck everyone else is perfectly acceptable wealth transfer.

  • I’ll concede that everyone, including myself, thought he (and trump) were too old to be running because they’re both mentally declining in different ways.

This pretty much said what you replied, even if not as vehemently.

  • Why do you feel the need to call what I said “bullshit”, then proceed to say almost exactly what I just said?

  • Gotta be something where their contract lets them game the system. Picking up extra time if someone calls out sick on a holiday night or something. Probably got a “cartel” going where officers group up to trade and manipulate schedules in order to maximize pay.

  • Cutting benefits for the poorest.

    Recipe for civil unrest, riots.

Riots mean more militarization of police, more authoritarianism, and domestic camps like Arpaio’s shitholes.

Now you have opportunity for forced labor to take the place of the exploited migrant labor we used to have.

Republicans just wanted to put minorities back in the fields as essentially slaves.

  • But if you can’t google a solution to a problem there is no problem.

  • Definitely. The people that faced extermination camps have made their own for others.

  • Bummer. I can see pocket going, I tried to use it but it’s basically a place to put stuff that you plant to but never actually get around to reading, a bookmark does the same thing. Fakespot I’m not sure about. I’ve used it, but there’s no way to verify how right it is.

  • It’s been repeatedly shown that no, they quite often do not read bills that are up for vote.

  • Floors me that the same generation that fought the fascists have done everything they can to usher in American fascism.

  • Basically exempts trump action that ignores a court order from facing enforcement of contempt. They can break the law, ignore the injunction and disregard the contempt charge for ignoring the court.

More dictatorial powers handed to trump that further dismantle any checks and balances against him.
