  • Money, marketing, and suppliers. Seems like that’s day-to-day stuff and wouldn’t be too damning unless there were serious improprieties. I can see why Boeing would prefer to take whatever hit there is from the loss rather than pay.

  • There’s a Foundation series on Apple. Don’t bother if you want it to actually follow the story, but if you just want to watch related SciFi it’s not half bad.

Android Demerzel in the show does indeed have a hand in shaping history.

  • I don’t have anything against Google services that work. Gmail, docs, drive…all good stuff. But I search stuff constantly, and I’ve moved away from Google to MSN, DDG, and whatever AI engine might help because Google sucks. I’m tired of having to sift through 10 BS SEO content scraped sites, a dozen sponsored sites, 20 fking YouTube videos (I don’t need a 20 minute video to tell me the oil service indicator reset procedure for a Toyota when the procedure is to hold 2 buttons for 10 seconds) before I can actually find what I’m looking for in a concise and simple format. A decade ago Google was the shit and if your Google-fu was strong you could find anything on the internet if it existed. Now you see what they want you to find. No more, no less. I hate that.

  • It’s just bait and switch anymore.

They offer you a plan that has “x y z”features, then they make new plans with “v w z” features that are lesser that what baited you into accepting the first plan and charge you the same - or more.

Bait and switch…just with a sufficient gap to make you not want to leave.

  • And expensive. I just priced out a basic WC setup for a GPU using moderate quality parts and flex tubing and it’s $275, and I already have the waterblock for the GPU. For my gaming PC it was easily $500 in additional parts. Pumps, fans, radiators, reservoir, hard tube, and FML decent quality fittings are expensive.

  • That’s an interesting take. Conservatives tend to have an image of hypocrisy - ie, maybe treat a woman well, yet seek to restrict her legal rights or prevent women from protections, and they seem to think that this hypocrisy cannot be questioned. They never like being called out or questioned on it.

  • Even more useful would be knowing how many chargers that number represents. Even the article states they don’t know what the number is. More charger availability is always good, but a press release like this smells more like greenwashing if we don’t know how useful this is. If all BP stations got a charger, that would be really impressive.
