Ah, our ancient enemy China, who hasnt been in a war in decades, and promotes international peace whenever the topic comes up.

The abusive oppressive China, where cost of living is lower and workers rights are stronger than americans'.

But living in china means to be a slave who can't speak freely so fuck that country, right?!

Good. America is the aggressor internationally. Losing soft power is a net benefit for mankind.

This is what the majority wants, fuck the rest of the world let's get ours. I think most americans could care less about whether another country trusts them or not. America has always been like this though, its just continuing a long history of selfish values, where people are judged by how much money they can accumulate.

I never implied those are the only options. I only specifically said I have no issue with deporting illegal immigrants, which is what's currently happening. Why should we permit illegal immigrants to stay in the country and/or attempt to gain legal residence?

It sound like a lot of people are upset that if we get rid of our indentured servants and slaves, then we won't be able to afford all the useless shit we buy constantly.

I guess I'm just silly for thinking breaking laws to get into a country is a bad thing.

You literally avoided my whole question. Why do you want illegal immigrants here? I'd think youd want them here legally rather but maybe I'm just crazy. Is it just mean to deport people? If I was in Canada illegally and they arrested me and sent me back to the US, I wouldnt think Canada was a shitty country for it.

Those could be good ideas, although I dont like the idea of forcing out good candidates based on term limits.

I'm more concerned with fixing things like citizens united:

I understand higher food prices is rough for the general public, but I'm struggling to find a reason we shouldnt deport illegal immigrants. I'm concerned that illegal immigrant labor is akin to H1b or prison labor, where the worker has diminished rights and is abused more than other groups.

Why are democrats or people in general in favor of illegal immigration?

The arbitrary numbers are that NASA should have "more minorities than 10 years ago". Why 10 years ago? Why more then they had then? Isn't NASA famous for working on DEI for more than 50 years, before it was even called DEI?

If they had or have unfair hiring practices, show me an example. Surely theres someone who was the most qualified but passed over for being a minority.

I'm not against DEI, just not every company is the same. Also I dont see much DEI for jobs where white people are the minority. I got fired from a job in my teens because the supervisor thought I was a lazy white person who " couldn't even do the jobs our women do", and 90% of the workers were from Mexico. Wheres my DEI initiative?

Maybe I love hard labour and it sucks I can't get a job in it because everyone thinks I'll be lazy and demand extra benefits.

Here's an example of NASA discriminating, and the legal process to rectify it. Thats appropriate. Showing some arbitrary numbers and saying they aren't high enough is nonsense.

A company that doesnt discriminate might need to hire people it doesnt want to just to fill a quota. Thats wasteful, and disrespectful to the people hired.

I'm saying those statistics do not say that NASA discriminates against non-whites. They could, but theres no proof of it. Applying a blanket rule to all business whether they are discriminating or not is over-reaching.

Sounds like they were already only hiring qualified people.

Forcing DEI where there was no problem causes a problem.

There are already millions caught in the crosshairs. Its not a choice between doing nothing and saving lives, and doing something and losing them. We are losing them both ways but by doing nothing people evade social responsibility.

Surely there will be waves of protestors being kicked out on the streets with their families, left to starve in ditches with nothing they can do.
