If you're an American, no, you probably can't afford to go somewhere nicer.

Being such a monster that your subordinates, who happily participated in your illegal invasion of a sovereign nation, have to physically assault you to stop your crimes against humanity isn't having checks and balances.

If you really want to to some good with that land, although it won't make you any money, turn it back into a native natural habitat, or at least sell it to someone who will agree to do the same. The world is never going to improve without landowners who are willing to restore their developed land back to its natural state.

What money? I live in America, where the overwhelming majority live paycheck to paycheck and struggle just to get by.

"I've gotten lucky and haven't had mine damaged by the elements yet" is an anecdote, and it certainly doesn't make a thing maintenance free.

The entire American west is becoming unlivable, Canada is burning to ashes, poisoning tens of millions of people across the continent, a hirricane just hit Californis, an entire fucking city just got wiped off the map in Hawaii, and western Europe is going to go into freefall when the impending collapse of tbe Atlantic currents drastically ravages their climate.

But sure, tell me more about how being in a developed country is going to save us when there's no fucking food and everything is on fire.

Unless you expect people to start murdering oil executives and climate denier politicians, you're wrong. Teslas and paper staws are never going to make a difference, because consumer-level pollution isn't the problem.
