  • So I typed out a long reply with helpful tips and everything but Lemmy broke and I couldn't send that, and I really can't be arsed again, this is already too much effort.

Massage/Wellness: your posture sucks and your back hurts all the time because you have a flabby gut and no ass. Get to exercising.

  • This is fucking tragic. Golden rice hasn't been proven safe? It's fucking rice with a spliced gene to produce vitamin A. This is a life saver plain and simple. Monsanto is fucked for a whole host of reasons, but golden rice is not it. There has been study after study on it just to fucking prove that it's beta-carotene survived cooking.

When Greenpeace started opposing GMOs that could be patented, I was on board, but they just attack any GMO now.

  • He's continuing with decades of US policy on Israel, pretty par for the course for a do-nothing president.

Every bill he signs off on gets cut down without resistance. The moment he doesn't have to worry about the politics of a veto.

Somehow 4 years of that is somehow better than the alternative so he gets my vote.

  • I wasn't aware vaporizing thousands of years of human history would be "nothing of value" being lost.

Which is also to say nothing of value being lost when the people who still live in those historic cities are also vaporized.

Lemmy really goes full "cut off your nose to spite your face" if they find out that face might be even slightly associated with religion

  • We've already established that Tiktok Tok is not the CCP. That's what the whole first "gonna ban TikTok" fiasco was over. It's why they don't store US data in China but continue to do business in the US.

That would be a business using the 1st amendment right (which everyone gets, not just citizens) to free speech to use it's platform to ask it's users to do something directly beneficial to them. Nothing illegal about it unless you want to reevaluate that "TikTok is the CCP" claim again.
