  • I'm with you about the meat industry and mass-production. If we all cut down on meat consumption significantly, we'd be more healthy and it would be possible to raise lifestock in a species-appropriate manner.

I'm not with you about humanizing animals. Eating animals is natural. Our species has evolved doing so (far more rarely than nowadays of course). And animals in nature are eaten far more brutally and painfully than even our mass-produced lifestock.

  • I don't know. It's punishing with something they themselves think of as a bad thing, not necessarily their judge. It's not uncommon to punish with the very thing someone hates or what is related to the crime (community service for behaving asocial, for example)

  • True?

  • Yeah, the people at Pixar have no clue how to use a computer. Lol

Do you really expect their artists to be IT experts? You seem to be stuck in the early 90s mindset when "knowing how to use a computer" covered all disciplines.

  • Earths moon is ≈35000 km in diameter, and it’s gravity is 1/6 of earth’s.

Off the a factor of 10. The Moon has a diameter of almost 3500 km (Earth's circumference is about 40,000 km, so your diameter would make the Moon larger than Earth).

However, the Death Star being mostly filled with air still means you're probably right about gravity being negligible.

  • But it can also be a matter of (inexperienced) devs just deciding, fuck it, I won't try to merge it, I'll just copy my changes elsewhere and throw away the repo.

Pretty sure that's actually it. Git has a learning curve and, for example, some naive rebase not working out as intended can be scary if you don't know what you're doing.
