It looks to me like there are a fair amount of finished homes with fine construction that are vacant due to this whole thing. Many weren’t completed but many were.

Oh I see, didn’t realize the construction quality was terrible:( So it was a sham the whole time? I thought they just didn’t think through the locations which made the housing useless (no work within reasonable commute).

It’s an accessible version of Ark which is the apex of all games (come on, an open world dinosaur game where you start as a naked cave man and you can eventually catch dinos and ride them?! Underwater caves?! tech dinos?! gangs of dodos at your command?!)

They should start a couple utopian city experiments in those ghost suburbs they built way outside cities. Offer housing and a vision and put some academics in charge so we can learn something.

Actually since Nintendo is obviously japanese (brain jumped the gun), it’s even worse, protecting mostly foreign profits on taxpayer dime against a US citizen.

Really glad the US government went out of their way to protect Nintendo’s right to profit off the work of their (likely US citizen) employees who probably don’t even work at the company anymore. And on the dime of the taxpayers! Feeling especially safe knowing this guy will have to struggle forever.

It’s interesting to me that less people are religious but moral absolutism seems to be on the rise.

If you usually leave interactions with them feeling drained and left out I think that’s a good enough reason to un-prioritize them. Friends are supposed to make you feel seen and valued (at least a reasonable percentage of the time).

I’m not convinced it does work. Freakonomics did a bit on marketing awhile back and the researchers they talked to said ad dollars were pretty inefficient and that companies would probably net a larger profit by reducing TV advertising.

Personally this hurts my soul even more knowing the only people profiting are the middlemen who engineer their products to be objectively worse so that they can shove ineffective ads in my face.

Thanks for both suggestions! I’ll take a look at jellyfin again when I have time to deal with this. In the past I’d heard it was pretty hard to integrate with xbox smoothly, and I have friends with plex I was hoping to share with.

If just pointing the xbox at adguard or similar would work that would be quite elegant, but I’m not sure how I’d add vpn protection? At the router?

Sure but right now you can essentially defer forever under 60k, 60k vs 120k I absolutely agree, but that usually happens in steps and $60k to $70k you might not see a benefit.

Right now borrowers are incentivized to keep low income jobs and avoid settling down (they can’t buy houses anyway) which isn’t exactly excellent from a state perspective.

If so joke’s on them, they didn’t put the propaganda in the headline so this will just make more people boycott. And if it leads to financial ruin for 1 in 10 borrowers that just costs the taxpayers even more.

I mean it’s not like we can afford the big houses either. To prevent unrest governments should keep a close eye on the accessibility of bread, shelter, and grog.
