Obligatory this isn't an airport you don't have to announce your departure joke.
I've never shyed away from arguing with anarchists but this is already resolved so thank you? The enlightened anarchist simply has no time for the meager law loving peasants.
I've blocked communities and instances that don't speak English, ones that have absurd ideological basis (anarchy supporters), and occasionally people who just say really dumb things, a lot.
I vastly prefer encouraging blocking over censorship/moderation. If someone is being an asshole, having the ability to say it, vent those feelings for a moment, then readjust is a catharsis that's been nearly outlawed especially on platforms on like TikTok.
Obviously not everything should be permitted and everything has its limits, but the internet seems to over correct things into a passionless husk of forced friendliness. To shove people into forming a facade that feels like a shrinking cage. Sterile.
Curating my own experience has been invaluable and I highly encourage it.
A few? These are the people that did backflips because the left handed out water bottles to voters in line. Put them under the cell, I'm exhausted over the blatant hypocrisy.
AMD have the right idea in trying to target the value to performance crowd. People that want every dollar to count. You get diminishing returns the higher you reach and that's the biggest drawback to Nvidia. The abysmal value.
But I hate Nvidia from a moral perspective as well. Proprietary software, paying game developers to use that software, inflated claims that their hardware will play those games better because of that software, then convincing the average public they just have a superior product when all they're really good at is what amounts to bribes.
Ryzen has been more effective than RX because Intel had zero ability to respond and still doesn't. They went to make GPUs because they couldn't break the wall for CPUs. Before AMD crawled out of the grave, Nvidia and Intel had a full blown market monopoly. Inescapable.
I'm not interested in that continuing, so I'll stick out a 7% worse product for $200 less and hope that throwing money at AMD will get them to compete on the bleeding edge with Nvidia like they are with Intel.
To me, buying Nvidia for performance is like buying an APC as a daily driver for work because of it's safety rating. The cost long term does not at all seem worth it.
I've never bought Nvidia but they become more like Apple every day. Why be consumer friendly for niche PC builders? The average gamer already associates Nvidia with performance so it's time to rely on good ol brand loyalty!
I had the same issue, it was a security update that made some wireless sound devices get rice krispied. Took me way too long to debug and when I found out Microsoft was responsible, I reverted my Windows and have been waiting for a solid jump off point.
I might just back everything up on a HDD, then format my boot drive and go Linux. I'm tired of being tired of Windows.
