I know about impact factor but still this system is shit and only works because people contribute to it.

When will scientists just self-publish? I mean seriously, nowadays there is nothing between a researcher and publishing their stuff on the web. Only thing would be peer-reviewing, if you want that, but then just organize it without Elsevier. Reviewers get paid jack shit so you can just do a peer-reviewing fediverse instance where only the mods know the people so it's still double-blind.

This system is just to dangle carrots in front of young researchers chasing their PhD

Man this looks so good, but I'm not sure if I'm shooting myself in the foot with the camera and the 60Hz display. I'm just looking for a reasonable midrange phone that still has a headphone jack that's not whack in any sense.

Pixel 7a, A55, Nothing 2a and Moto Edge 50 Fusion all look nice and probably better, if it wasn't for the headphone jack that I want to keep to connect to various audio periphery as a musician.

Then you have the Oneplus Nord CE 2 5G which is already two years old.

Or the Xiaomi Redmi Not 12 S, which looks amazing for the price, but I've read that their UI pushes you ad. Wtf could you fucking not.

Addendum: Shopping for a decent midrange phone has never been so frustrating like these days. Everything gets more expensive while the phones loose features (just look at the telecam on the xperia 10 VI compared to the V)

I've never gotten really into it. It's such a mess, you don't find shit so you ask around in channels hoping someone says something relevant. After one or two replies the next person wants to talk about something else and your question disappears into the void

Sorry it got mixed up, it was in PC. It's the xboxapps folder or something like that, which windows locks down as a system folder.

It was on PC. See my other reply for the specifics. Very shitty experience and the dealbreaker around game pass since I've managed not finish multiple games before they dropped out of the service.

I tried to get the save game for yakuza like a dragon and first I had to hack myself into getting permission to access the specific folders ON MY PC. When I managed that I saw that the are in some weird format that supposedly doesn't transfer to steam for example.

The single most problematic thing where you should start to notice how bad gamepass can be is when you unsubscribe and decide to buy one of the games you've played only to have your savegames in gamepass gulag.
