16 committee chairs are chosen every congress. The Republican caucus leaders choose theirs. The democratic caucus elects theirs, with the Dem leader playing a large role in aligning per senority. This year, Jeffries has decided to stay out of it giving the opportunity for younger congresspeople to take additional responsibilities. So essentially there is an internal campaign going on right now and the caucus will vote later. It has nothing to do with the election for the representative in the first place.

I think they live in the Russian Hills section of San Francisco. There's probably more money there than actual Russia.

IMO, you are spot on. Monaco was long enough for the old cars,but when they became quicker and lap times got nearer to sub-minute it's clear the track is too small. But,there is no way to make it longer. They were going man make a land mass in Monaco, but I don't know the status.

DPelosi is not the caucus leader anymore. She doesn't speak for the caucus, deal with Republicans, etc. She still has political power within the caucus. There's a difference.

Representative government. If the people want to vote for an 82 year old Pelosi, who am I to say they shouldnt? Being in power is the important part.

And who says the same can't be true of Rwanda?

Would you fly thousands of miles to do business in Rwanda and enjoy a F1 weekend?

Further, does Rwanda have a fan base that will buy F1 tickets year after year to keep the stands full? Because, South Africa didn't.

In the end, it's all about prestige for these countries who have to foot the bill. Is Rwanda better served spending all that money on something else like it's people?
